O-EM-GEE, If you didnt win, I want a recount! It captured nearly 100% of all my iconic shots from Wizard of Oz! Remix audio of the music was supurb, video editing, supurb! You did my childhood memories of this movie proud @yakeduli! I'm looking forward to hearing you on DVD commentaries of classic movies to come! Bravo sweetheart! ;)
It looks like in this contest I've fallen short. However, I'd still like to thank all of you for your overwhelming support. The top five entries are: Ifurget, goldpikpikcarrots, lolitsmatt, Busychanel, and activeobjectx. Be sure to head on over to pogomix.net and vote for your favorite entry!
@yakeduli This is without a doubt my favourite outside the top 5 and would probably be a good 3rd place for me within the top 5 if it was selected. Your syncing is brilliant and i love the tinman dance that was unique to your video towards the beginning, great attempt :)
Your's is still the best by my opinion. Goldpik's is very similar but the sample matching is not as thorough or compelling as yours. This piece really flows with the beat!
You're a natural; you should try composing your own piece. It's quite a lot of fun actually! The more unique your work is, the better.
Thank you very much for the kind words! I actually have composed one piece for 'The Shawshank Redemption' called 'Symphony From Shawshank' ...but it has enough flaws that I'll likely do a redux at some point. I'm also currently in the middle of compositions for the movie 'Sybil' (the 1976 version), and the anime for 'Death note'.
I saw some of the others. They were really trying to be different unique, but I honestly like the style you brought to this. It's not too much where it kind of takes out the taste of what pogo delivers. The split screen adds that nice spice to it. Best of luck to you.
there are many remixes in Pogo's competition that uses Wizard of Oz footage. Yours is the best! well balanced, focuses on the main characters, with dance numbers in the right places. Wouldn't be surprised if yakeduli is Pogo himself. gg
I do...most of the time. They start off like "This is the same genuine just by the you're running down to the running (and it's funny). This is the same just inside down to the (you were?) running."
I could write out all of the "lyrics" for you if you really want, but (as you can see) they don't make much sense. xD
I agree! The split screen was extremely effective. Good job.... You and goldpikcarrots are putting up a good competition. I need to get in on this. (but it will have to wait) I will be posting mine closer to the due date. ;-)
haha i love the tinman dancing bit! favourite so far! the syncing actually looks accurate for what part of the film it sounds like. Some real attention to detail here, great job, makes any attempt from me obsolete really! :)
Wow- great job, and "great" is an understatement. "SUPERB!" in all caps plus exclamation mark I think is a better word. I can't believe you actually scoured out and synced nearly every sample!! I bet that took hours, but 35!? Wowza.
Just fix the aspect ratio; it looks a little fat... Other than that, [5 stars out of 5], superb job!! =D
OMG I love this!!! This is like one of the best I've ever seen. There was one other video that I loved as well and both are tied as my favorite. I hope yours win. Good luck!
I like your entry better than the one that one :)
