  • YESSSSSSS SHOUTOUT TO LOGIC!!!!

  • pussyyyy

    LOL

  • Love yall reviews...would like to see yall review some old shit, just to see if what maby everyone else thinks is classics yall did like illmatic, the chronic, etc...

  • I'VE GROWN TO LOVE THESE GUYS. NO HOMO.

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT ARTISTS C-TOWN IS TALKING ABOUT.

  • WOW I love the video man, Its so sunny over there. Georgia looks like a good place to live.

  • Where's part 2? It's Tues.... :(

  • question: what is the name of the song starting at around at 2:03 that plays throughout the Q & A segment? Anyway, love the show

  • Why didn't you review that No Kings album by Doomtree? I listened to it because Myke listed it and found out it is totally one of my favorites from last year too. Unbelievably good.

  • @deadendhiphop Late entry- Will Flo-Rida ever just go away? and who thought it would be a good idea to let him destroy a great (The Cult) song?

  • Joe Budden would fucking murder Jay-Z, no doubt about it!

  • Haha! Feefo's facial expression from 16:22 to 16:55 is priceless! Hahaha!

  • You guys should review some old albums! Like DMX Flesh of my Blood, Blood of my Flesh or 2pac Me Against The World or The Marshal Mathers that would be clean and dope af

  • So wait, everyone thought Kinge was an ass at first and not C town?

How does that even work lol

  • @888kermit No its not Kreayshawn, her name is Eternia

  • What's the name of that instrumental at the beginning of this video clip?? Such a great instrumental I really need to know the name of that song please

  • DAMN They answered my question hell ya. Can you guys review Asher Roth - Pabst and Jazz next. One of my favourite projects in the last 6 months. Think you might like it

  • Myke wearing skinny jeans! DEHH 4EVA.

  • Id like a conversation on Method Man and Redman. Like who you guys prefer who is the better mc ect.

  • IS THAT KREAYSHAWN ON THE INTRO VIDEO?

  • @888kermit Yes. B hit it in exchange for the drop.

  • You guys make hiphop look like a sport, and i fucking love it.

  • Review Earl Sweatshirt's mixtape "EARL"

  • Thanks C-town.

  • @veryspecialgfx Oh I see where you are coming from haha, yeah not everyone can relate to it. Sorry for assuming, I thought you meant that Big Boi was pointless threw the whole of their discography.

  • @veryspecialgfx What are you on? Big Boi pointless to Outkast? He is one half of Outkast?! Yes you can Andre 3000 is better but to say he is "pointless" - what?

  • @ChristianJT84 There was one point when they felt evenly matched to me and that was "ATLiens" other than that Big Boi dissapointed more times than not. Like go back and listen to it with a fresh ear and no loyalty and you'll hear him stretching and straining to stay on beat in must of his verses. Dre was effortless. Make no mistake about it I loved "Speakerboxx" but his other solos have proved that without Dre, Big isn't really a factor. I don't know man. Maybe i can't relate to pimp shit lol

  • @ChristianJT84 i would even argue big boi is more talented than andre 3000 in outkast and comparing their solo careers. I mean, when I'm listening to almost any outkast song (there are obviously exceptions) I'm usually looking forward big boi's verse(s)

  • Whats the artist that Kinge mentions? Not Ab-Soul, the first one. Also, @veryspecialgfx I don't feel like Big Boi is pointless in OutKast. They balance each other out. This can really be seen in Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. Sure, Love Below is musically more innovative but its all over the place. Big Boi grounds Andre. I still really liked Speakerboxxx and his last album too. They are both great, but better together. We need a new OutKast album.

  • @mykectown

    Kid Cudi or Grieves

  • @PM2126 Not sure I can compare them. I like them both a lot. But I think I might listen to Grieves more because his albums are more consistent.

  • @mykectown yeah I agree

I think Grieves is more complete than Cudi

  • @Danscool09 Cudi is one of those artists that tap into emotions that aren't normally touched in hiphop, especially on the mainstream level. He's undeniable.

  • @veryspecialgfx kid cudi is a little bitch fuccouttahere

  • @spcw4 you buggin'. simple and plain.

  • @veryspecialgfx nah u are homie hahaha

  • @spcw4 What makes Cudi soft? Why is that the first word we throw at artists now? Soft. Drake is Soft. Cudi is soft. B.O.B. is soft. It's like everyone wants to pretend they can relate to gangsta music knowing they ain't bout that life.

  • @veryspecialgfx dawg you listen to kid cudi. end of discussion lmao go be sad and whine somewhere with ur kid cudi music

  • @spcw4 Uh. Ok. I'll go do just that.

  • Comment removed

  • I'd love to see Dre 3000 face off against anyone just to raise his awareness. He's that guy that's in everyone's top 5 but no one remembers until someone happens to mention him and then its like "OHHHHH YEAHHHHH 3000 IS GOD!" (also can we get an episode of how pointless Big Boi is to Outkast lol).

The biggest injustice in HipHop is the result of the Canibus vs LL battle. Imagine what rap would be today had people abandoned their need to suck off the "legends" and called that battle fairly!

  • lol @ Feefo's face around 16:24 when they were talkin about Redman vs. Eminem. He just had this look like.. That wouldn't be a good battle.. lol.. The meetup stories was funny though. Good video!

  • I'm actually surprised that Myke C-Town is into Kid Cudi. I love his first album...hate his second album. But I agree completely...he isn't amazing technically or lyrically, but something about him really stands out to me. Who knows. What does the rest of the crew think about Kid Cudi?

  • @jeffdill Cudi is cool but his albums confused me dearly. Now, I'm just not sure what to think or make of him. The Day and Night record was making noise and then he kind of went somewhere else with his debut album. I still ride with him though.

  • @Kingemedia Yea but c'mon how perfectly does Day N Night sound with Sky Might Fall coming in behind it? That album flows so smoothly in terms of theme and music.

  • very entertaining show....Shout Out to Mo Brother (the Intern) dude is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrKeepit2000 Not really I was and still is a huge fan of J Cole even after that Trey Song single. His album still hold substance and his content and delivery is still on point.

  • Myke you don't like any sports?

  • @MrKeepit2000 I think you're being extremely presumptuous in pretending to know my tastes and why I don't like certain artists. How about this. How about I think Wayne is a shitty rapper and Jay-Z does nothing for me as an MC or a song writer. You can call me any name in the book you like from purist to elitist to dickhead. But the fact of the matter is you don't know me at all. If you like these artists, great. Like, enjoy and support them. But debating my tastes on YouTube = silly.

  • Love these guys and the show, but I don't get why Feefo likes Logic so much. I listened to him because of DEHH's review, but he's not that dude to me. I think he's cool, but he is so basic.

    Love the show!

  • @MrKeepit2000 Does CTown listen to mostly underground hip hop yes, but that doesn't mean he don't like popular/mainstream artist too. Those artist I just name are not underground. Like I said he likes a few mainstream artist just not a lot of him. I'm the same way, to me a like of mainstream artist don't make good music to me. Wiz, Ross, Wayne, Drake etc... Dont compare to artist like Big Krit, Elzhi, Jean Grae, Kendrick Lamar, Blu, Fashawn. I just prefer the underground artist.

  • @MrKeepit2000 He's like Big Krit too, just cuz you don't make people dance doesnt consider you mainstream, I don't get your arguement. You trying to tell me to be mainstream you have to make people dance?

  • @beezy430 I don't think he has an argument. I think people, for some reason, get bothered when others don't like a particular artist that they like. And rather than taking it as a person's personal distaste for the music itself they have to create some other reason because they can't fathom another person not agreeing with their particular taste in music. I never encounter this EXCEPT with hip hop fans. It's so bizarre to me.

  • @mykectown I was having a discussing with veryspecialgfx about why C-Town might feel Jay is an average mc. I told him cause most purist feel jay is commerical and I'm going to say C-Town a purist cause that's the sound of hip hop that appeal to him the most. Beezy jumps in and said he likes Kanye ain't he mainstream I said yes. Kanye is a mainstream artist but he's not the same as when Jay was in his prime different sounds. I'm not a Jay dick rider by no means.

  • @MrKeepit2000 And I'M telling you that I don't like Jay because I don't like Jay. Again, it has nothing to do with him being commercial. I don't like his rhymes. I don't like his delivery. I don't like Jay. It's really that simple. And B is right. His commercial appeal has nothing to do with my like of him. Especially when I said I like BP3. You can't say I don't like Jay because of a certain reason and then try to put parameters around that reason when the reason is debunked.

  • @mykectown I wasn't really trying to take it there I made an assumption by having a conversation with another guy on here. I direct it towards you in a way but I was telling this guy alot of reasons to why people don't consider Jay great. If you don't like him I'm not making an argument to make you like him.

  • @mykectown If Jay would had kept the underground sound of Reasonable Doubt he would get more praise but since he can make hits for as radios and clubs people sometimes downgrade him by saying he's commerical. Jay is way above average MC and I'm not from NY I'm not a groupie like that. I'm just an even playing field guy when it comes to hip hop.

  • I'm telling you most artist that get discredit for be an MC nine out of ten times is because people feel they are commerical and it's mostly because they have a single on the top ten making people dance. I feel like people will give Big K.R.I.T praises now and then as soon as he drop a single for a club then he a sellout and that could be the same for Kendrick Lamar.

  • @MrKeepit2000 I think in all honesty, it really depends on how much they change musically. Drake is a prime example of a guy who has changed from where he was to where he is at. Nikki Minaj is another great example of someone who started out rhyming to now making pop rap songs. It's not an abandonment from those artists but the type of music they start to manufacture. That's the difference.

  • @Kingemedia I agree with you especially with nikki. I just hate how some listener down play artist skills because of mainstream popularity. It's like that person whose is a purist and he/she don't like to dance or bounce who will knock the artist for having swagg. What it comes down to being real hip hop you have to be a square. To be respected MC does an artist music needs to be serious throughout his career.

  • @MrKeepit2000 how is J Cole fighting to stay relevant when he's up for a grammy?

  • @showstoppa16 Jay-Z for one didn't believe in his project and it took forever to come out. He's nominated for a grammy cause of his clean image. J Cole for as sales is not at it's best and I'll put money that it will take forever for his next album to come out. J Cole is a cool guy but he doesn't make trendy music and I don't see him having huge singles on the radio.

  • @MrKeepit2000 lol dude j coles song is the number ONE requested song in my hometown in tennessee i hear j cole singles like so many times a day on different station that he's my fav new artist but i have to turn it off he gets played so dang much honestly.

  • @tubularguppy I live in Atlanta and I heard the song he has with Trey Song and a song that feature Trey Songs usually get spins example Lupe song ft Trey Songs. What I'm saying besides that single I don't hear much other songs as an individual from J Cole on air. If you can name others that has alot of spins go head. I heard guys mixtapes that had more singles on air than J Cole, and one is Drake for example. I want Cole to win but his not a trendy rapper for today youth.

  • @MrKeepit2000 in NY he gets play for Workout, Can't Get Enough(feat. Trey Songs) ANd Mr. Nice Watch. I'd say 3 singles off an album getting played is trendy. Can't compare him to Drake because Drake is more mainstream established and is the flavor of the month for mainstream.

  • @PM2126 I don't want to do a Drake and Cole comparison. What I was trying to point out is he popping among rap fans among 25 and younger is the guy generally popular, or is he just an underground artist with a major deal. Game to me is no longer relevant even though he puts out pretty good music. I was thinking Cole was perhaps in that same boat cause I generally don't hear his name being brought up. After your comment now I think it's more a regional thing.

  • @MrKeepit2000 I would say he's generally popular

He's the only guy not with YMCMB or established (Jay-Z, Kanye, Eminem maybe Jeezy and T.I.) with a gold album from less than a year ago.

    Yeah it's probably regional.

  • @PM2126 He isn't gold you can look @ ballerstatus. He is currently at 305,000 copies sold usually after an artist first week their album tends to slow down.

  • @MrKeepit2000 He's gold on RIAA

  • @PM2126 well yep I went and look at it they say it's Gold so that's wassup. That site(ballerstatus) must be bs about album sales. A gold plaque makes an artist pretty relevant.

  • @MrKeepit2000 yeah

I didn't even realize that Workout was a Platinum single

    He's doing big things

  • @MrKeepit2000 hey man yea i have been hearing more Cole on our local hip hop stations lately. Lately they have been playin his joint with Missy Elliot Nobody's Perfect heard it a few times now actually.

  • @tubularguppy I'm glad his album is doing well that's a testament that a different sound from rap can sell. Labels and radio stations make it seem as if hood music can only push units and anything else doesn't appeal to the mass. so big up to Cole

  • @MrKeepit2000 your right man. that's why Cole is my favorite new artist right now. I mean to get recognized at the grammy's? It's been such an exciting year watching him.

  • @beezy430 Then people would put the guy whose underground who never had a hit on top of an artist cause they feel like he's real hip hop staying true to the culture cause he don't put out radio hits.

  • eminem- nail in the coffin

    ice cube- no Vaseline

    copywrite- cremation

  • @ttredraider2017 copywrite- cremation

    that shit is hot

    thanks for sharing

  • @PM2126 No problem, check out the rest of his shit. Keep supporting good hip-hop my dude.

  • @ttredraider2017 wait a minute

this dude ran out out of a hearse with Asher Roth ashes lol

  • @PM2126 Lol he straight kills Asher lol

  • @MrKeepit2000 Regardless if it makes people dance or not Kanye is one of the most popular figures in Hip Hop now, he's mainstream period. He also likes J Cole and just is mainstream, he liked The Game's latest album. He liked Eminem and Royce. Point is those artist I just name are not all underground artist they are popular artist. Sure he don't like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Drake but he still likes mainstream. Just not that much of it though.

  • @beezy430 You have mainstream rap that appeals to whites kanye and eminem that's going to sell. Let's be honest The Game and J.Cole are both fighting to stay relevant. Royce did an album with Eminem and people are still like Royce who??? I just think certain purist such as C-Town shit on Jay and Lil Wayne because they can move people on the dance floor. Making fun records shouldn't discredit a rapper from being a dope mc.

  • @beezy430 I hope he doesn't hate on Big K.R.I.T debut album with def jam cause he's going to have just as much dance record as big sean to sell records that's part of going mainstream.

  • @tgooch59 Yup the name of the album is called The Feed

  • Does anybody know if Elzhi is dropping a full length album this year? Elmatic is my shit! He is another one of my favorites.

  • @tgooch59 Yeah he's supposed to be droping an album this year!

  • @MrKeepit2000 he likes Kanye and liked J Cole's album

  • @mykectown

As far as peoples' names go I know A King, 2 Princes, like 3 Princesses and a Prestigious

  • Can anyone tell me where I can find Funcrusher plus? Because I've been listening to alot of El-p lately and would like to checkout his early work.

  • @ThaBlacksheepX You can get it anywhere. It was re-released on Def Jux.

  • FEEFO IS JAROBI OF THE CRU

  • I forgot one beef that I really wanna see. 50 Tyson vs Lil B. We can call it The Special Olympics. (No diss to the mentally handicapped.) I also mentioned that I wanna see MC Lyte vs V-Nasty. Can you imagine the LURIKS that would come from these two battles?

  • @mykectown He don't want none of 50 Tyson!!!

    MC Lyte would sawdust V-Nasty

As far as other beefs I would like to have seen Jay Electronica and Game

Would have been funny to see Kid Cudi come at Sean Price

  • @mykectown wtf you talkin bout lil b is very lyrical

  • jay z is average

  • I gotta completely agree with C-Town about Jay-Z. He's alot better than many MANY other mainstream rappers, but he doesn't hold a candle to alot of great MCs who don't get that big of attention.

BTW, fuck people for hating Myke, you might be my favorite member of DEHH :D

  • @MrKeepit2000 Disagree one of C-Town's favorite hip hop album of 2010 was a mainstream album. Kanye West's MBDTF, Kanye is one of the most mainstream artist in HipHop

  • @beezy430 Kanye is mainstream true but he's not like Jay-Z in his prime way back who can make a dance floor song remember "big pimpin". Kanye has this weird way of fusion beats where the sample is soulful enough to appeal to blacks and their have a slight pop sound that whites would get into. Kanye mainstream but not cause he can make people dance and I know C-Town don't care for that sound of rap that make fans dance which is mainstream BS to rap purist.

  • @bg094 Quelle the producer? Yea he made some nice tracks for Marvwon and Fat Killahz that were dope.

  • I should of asked the question and I don't know if it will be in part 2, but who were the first Rappers that made you guys love Hip Hop.

  • @LamarTaylor2k12 I think that may be in part 2.

  • Why is Lil' Wayne so damn popular??

  • I haven't found that Kobe Obe guy... where can we find him?

  • @MrDiscoHB It's Cobe Obeah.

  • TAAAURUUUSSSSSS

  • Ms Battle can I marry you?

  • girl facial expression went from professional to "OOoh no u didn't"!!!!! priceless.

Jay-Z and Joe Budden...that'll be dope

  • I SECOND THE JOE VS JAY SHIT THO!!!!!

  • @veryspecialgfx Joe would win Jay isn't into that battle rap shit anymore. Joe Budden should go after Drake since he wants to claim King or shid go after T.I. Hell yea Joe Budden VS T.I.

  • @MrKeepit2000 I can't see Tip being a good battle for Joe. Like Joe is the king of research and report. Tip has too many fuck ups for that to fly in a battle with Joe. Plus Joe loves TI. TI isn't a battle rapper anyway. I don't think @MykeCTown hates mainstream but that guy does have some severe Hovaphobia goin

  • @veryspecialgfx "Hovaphobia" Hahhaha! I love that shit! I'm stealing it, but I'll give you credit.

  • @veryspecialgfx Haha! That's a good one!

  • I swear when I hear C-town say what makes a great MC and know that he considers Jay-Z average at best, I'm the most confused man on the planet!!!!

  • @veryspecialgfx Jay-Z is a huge mainstream artist and I don't think C-Town likes anybody mainstream or mainstream rap period if it's popular he ain't feeling it.

  • @MrKeepit2000 Jay-Z 22's two's is enough to prove his dope and some of the best years in hip hop is from Jay-Z 's Hardknock life Vol.2 the Blueprint Jay carry rap on his back .

  • @MrKeepit2000 That's not true. Popularity is a really silly way to judge an MC. I don't give a shit if he's popular if he's good. Just don't like Jay-Z. That's it.

  • @mykectown Popularity is a great way to judge music I'm not a wiz khalifa fan he does not appeal to me so does that give me the right to say he is weak cause of his subject matter is not for me. The guy has a million followings so it must be something to him. Unless the guy is a heartthrob like Nelly who core fans are females I think there's something to an artist music if he has a following that's strong.

  • @MrKeepit2000 Popularity is quite possibly the absolute worst way to judge music. Just because someone has a large number of fans doesn't mean their music is better than anyone else's. It's has everything to do with exposure and appeal. If you're on a major your music will get heard by more people. And if you make music that has a current popular sound, you will get more fans. Does than mean you're better than the person on the indie label. Absolutely not. Timeless is always better than trendy.

  • @mykectown I agree with you on that to a certain degree. I'm just saying let's say all you guys are going Logic is dope and 100 to 1 and like the guy is trash cause I don't like his sound. People would be like that's some bullshit he has all these people jocking him. I think it's something to popularity to say hey this guy has a buzz and a following so there's something to him even if I feel strongly about not feeling his music. By the way Logic is dope just using him as an example.

  • best diss track is T-shirts and Buddens by Lil B

  • @buddy1v lil b went in on Joe

  • Jay-Z vs. Joe Budden must happen!!!

  • C-town is my favorite

  • yesss hit em up then ether all time diss tracks!!

  • what's the name of the song that starts @ 0:50 ??? i need to know

  • Love this show, love u guys.

  • Good Job guys keep the people informed on real hip hop

  • you guys should start doing some Classic Album Reviews!

  • @bg094 The Black Opera, Buff1 and Majestic Legend dope artist from Detroit

  • @beezy430 thanks alot. yo What about Quelle Chris u feeling his music? He from the D

  • @bg094 Oh yeah I forgot one Clear Soul Forces dope group from Detroit as well

  • @bg094 Invincible, RoSpit, Ron Dance, Fatt Father, Fat Ray, Danny Brown, One Be Lo, Boog Brown, Miz Corona, Young Miles, Quest Mcody, Finale, Nametag all Detroit artist for you to check out

  • @bg094 Danny Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Jean Grae, Invincible, J Cole, One Be Lo, Thurz, Fashawn, Scienze, Obii Say, Oddisee, yU, Hassaan Mackey, Madlib, DTMD, Sundown, Chuuwee, Boog Brown

  • @beezy430 I said Detroit artists yo haha i mean put me onto some lesser known detroit artists

Sorry that you made that big list lol

  • when i first saw a dead end hip hop video it was a wiz khalifa video. I just remember thinking man these dudes are gone fight lol. I stopped watching for a while, but then when i returned to the channel i found myself watching these guys videos every week. Its amazing how these guys really loved the artists i loved, like Kanye and Gambino where as other reviews always bash them. This is probably my favorite you tube channel. Thanks for your entertainment guys

  • @kashcino1 Thanks. Really appreciate it and glad you came back to check us out.

  • @Bellcasus Cheddar Boyz are cool, never really care for Street Lords and Blade Icewood

  • @beezy430 What detroit artists are your favorite right now besides elzhi black milk & guilty simpson marv one phat kat & all them

  • when is your video with misanthropikone coming out?

  • @liltunechi4eva Working on it.

  • Black Thought needs a solo album. I feel he could blow up as and individual so fast. Or at least start featuring on more shit.

  • @MeetCleofisRandolph i dont know if he is trying to blow up at this point in his career

  • @spcw4 I really don't think he is either. There were talks of a solo album a while back i thought. Even though fans really talked about it more than him. If he wanted too he probably would have stepped up already, you're right.

  • @MeetCleofisRandolph he has tracks recorded for an album produced by dangermouse, and there were plans of another one.

I don't know the status of both projects at this point but i think it will come out eventually

  • @MeetCleofisRandolph Too late for black thought, he wait it too long for the expectation to exceed for him. maybe back in early 2000's but not now, same for andre 3000.

  • @MeetCleofisRandolph If black thought album would have came out perhaps five years ago yes there would be alot of buzz behind it. Since there's a new generation the album would come out and just be for the roots core fans who been waiting on a solo album from him. So I don't think features or album would increase his buzz just look at others who tried solo albums big boi and bun b still underrated.

  • hey guys do you think Black thought gets looked over because hes in the roots and not a solo artist?

  • black hippy is overrated.. kendrick is dope but that comparison is blasphemy..

  • kid cudi is just as whiny and emotional as drake

  • lmao kid cudi?????? kid cudi tho?

  • Dope stuff.

  • Hey guys, I dont know if this really matters but I listened to a song with Bj the chicago kid and kendrick lamar and its called HIS PAIN. It made me tear up a bit. If Kendrick hadn't solidified my appreciation for him before, he did it with that song. Imma big Kendrick Lamar fan anyway. I just wanted to know what you all thought about it. It's a soul song but its good.

  • @tgooch59 I listened to it this morning. It made me stop a bit to see who was playing. I'll have to listen to it again to really take in what he's saying.

  • @Kingemedia I'm glad i got a reponse from one of u guys, just made my day.

  • I love you guys show can't wait tell u guys start making real money with this and I hope u stay together and the show gets bigger and better.... QC boy

  • @mccleave32 Thanks man for all your support.

  • Beezy, I swear we have the exact same taste. "The World is Yours" is my favorite rap song too. Cheers

  • @jeffdill yeah thats my joint, can play that joint everyday and zone out
