  • I love eastbay

  • First of all, DJZmusicproductions idk how old u r but the 2:06 800m record kinda sucks I wouldn't go bragging about tht cause I'm 14 and I can beat tht time without the lightest middle distance spikes ever so shut up about ur mediocre times and in the video those spikes were only special because thy only had thm in 3 abnormal sizes

  • @DoubleBass2010 Way to be humble about your speed, fag.

  • Just ran my best 400m time (was 54, now 52.5) and best 800 (was 2:09, now 2:06) in these all in the same meet! I absolutely adore these shoes! :D Highly reccomended!

  • Why did you run cross country with a shoe that has a track spike plate? Just curious. I have both the xc and track victories.

  • @hforharsky Instead of spending more money to buy the Victory XC (or any other cross country spike, for that matter), I just raced in flats all season then wore these for my state meet. These are very aggressive for cross country spikes, forcing you up on your toes, so I was sore for 4-5 days afterwards but they worked well. A fair number of college guys race 8Ks and 10Ks in them -- just look at some college XC photo albums.

  • @2k3vick Haha well I guess it differs from place to place. Where I am from (Northeast) at more than 75% of our meets this year, you couldn't get away with wearing flats because of the conditions. So in your case, wearing them once is reasonable, but in mine, we had to wear spikes at almost every race so wearing these would probably be more detrimental to our health and the long periods of soreness would have affected our meet performance and training.

  • hey, i run 3200 1600 and a little bit of 800 should I get these or the matumbos?

  • @sammcgee11 It's personal preference, really. For me, I'd wear the Victory. The difference is aggressiveness: the Victory will put you more up on your toes than the Matumbo. If you're looking for something in between, consider the Mamba -- it's a steeple spike technically, but I know a lot of mile/two-mile guys that use it and ove it.

  • awesome

  • just ordered them. You raced in them yet? what are your PR's?

  • I checked some the black and orange ones out at a local running shop, but they are too expensive. I can get them cheaper on eastbay though. Do you believe the quality between the victorys would be different?
