it is very beat up bleach gonna do this, and this is 3 years ago and i still have all my hair and growth so i just take care of it you can never have healthy bleached hair !!
@FUNKYMACGIRL not true, I dyed my hair super dark brown/black about 3 or 4 months ago, so a few days ago I had to strip my hair fully, and remove all the color.. then i had to bleach it after that, when i was done bleaching it, i had to RE BLEACH IT, all in the same day, then i toned it.. and its still super soft, healthy and looks shiny and smooth, because i take absolute phenomenal care of my hair, if you treat it well and condition it properly, it does NOT have to look like a birds nest.
@FUNKYMACGIRL i did not once say your hair specifically looked like a birds nest, do not go putting words in my mouth, i am saying, if you take very good care of your hair BEFORE you bleach it just as a daily routine, you can prevent damage. i am sure you are taking good care of your hair, if you bleach it, you obviously know the damage it does.. I am just saying that bleach doesnt necessarily have to "do this" as you stated.
the purple shampoo has no chemicals so it s to help maintain till the next touch up...when you get a touch thats when you use a proper toner...when hair starts to get brasy which usually happens so instead of reapplying a toner a purple shampoo is a life saver
will i see a difference in just one use?... cuz i bleached my hair (from dark brown) and i used the toner "white lady" and it took out most of the yellowish tones but im left with a lot of orange/ginger tones :( i dont know what to do . PLEASE HELP! <3
the purple shampoo is only when your hair turns brasyy or starts to get yellow tones..toom much purple shampoo wuill make your hair have a lavendar/grey look!!
Hi. I have a question. Today is my first day I just bought my own purple shampoo to get brassy tones out of my bleached hair. The first time I used it today, my hair ended up with blue tints in it. Is there anything I can do to get the blue tints out of my hair and get it back to white blonde? it depens it if you is already blonde and you just want to refreshen it all it takes is just to lather it in..i usually leave it in till its stains...but yes 3 minutes is good!!

@mzred1dipset Sally's stll carries toners, I just bought White Lady toner yesterday. Sometimes it's hard to find because it blends in with the other boxes. I've never seen toners at Walmart.
Here is a tip ladies...after you tone your hair and if you still see a purple tine.....Use Baking soda in your shampoo and do it twice. I just bleached my hair today and I had to do it. My hair turned out brighter than ever and I am now a platinum perfect blond!!! Hope this helps someone out.

@TheyDontSee T18 White Lady doesnt turn your hair grey unless you leave it on too long. Always test a strand first. Slightly yellow/orangy only took 10 minutes to be corrected for me.

I also had another mishap today I'm hoping someone can help me with. I toned my pale yellow/pale orange hair today with Clairol 311D Towhead. It did get the brassiness out but most of my hair is still a pale orange. I toned way too early on. Question: IS IT OK TO BLEACH *AFTER* USING TONER..MAYBE IN A DAY OR SO?
careful leaving the toning shampoo in for long periods its gonna dry out your hair use the conditoner for leavein it make your hair soft. Have you looked at their born blonde toners the cost 5 bucks more but their are two uses in each bottle or more depending on the length or you hair an the best part is no ammonia or poroxide so no damage!
you left the toner on 15 min and then after you rinsed it you left the shampoo on for 15 min? Or you put the shampoo over the toner? Sorry silly question, but I have the same exact toner and shampoo and thats the color i'm going for. Except I have a little more orange in my hair from a copper highlight I had previously that seems to want to be a pain in my butt.
if u have orange use the t14 or try to lift it some more wella has a hilift blonde called frasty ash works well but if applied on natural brown hair it will lift it..

you can use it it's just shampoo and won't damage your hair! I used to have the black underneath and blonde on top and used it all the time. Shimmer lights is the best! can leave your ends purple but washes out with regular shampoo

use it when it hair looks brassy if ur hair is orangy use a 323 with a 30 dev it will help lift and tone at the same time..it might look yellow... tone again...i use the purple shampoo once a week i wash my hair twice a week in the winter...everyother day in da summer..
if u want it white u will have breakage..bleach till its super pale then tone!
i never bleach it super pale..when its more like pale with a hint of yellow..

I have SUPER dark ahir it's almost black, but still called brown. Anyways, I have bleached it myself and I have gone to many HIGH END salons, spending anywhere from $80.00 to $250.00. The verdict, my hair ALWAYS comes out better when I do it myself! I get tons of compliments on it, however I always leave the salon pissed ! This is not the case for everyone, but I have hard to color hair and over time, you know it better than anyone, even if they do know what they are doing!

overlapping is hard though but i've had plenty of experience with mine so i hardly ever overlap at all, in fact I actualy don't midn mind roots going slightly yellower sometimes cos that means when i touch them up i can go over without breakage (:
great minds think alike...the next retouch when my hair isnt light enough i do the roots and then the yellowish part of my roots...butt i tried a new bleach yesterday and my hair is all one even shade of blonde..i have to be brave every time and jus watch it lift to almost a white...ee...... i know but my hair is tough!!!!
mine is too, it's like medium-dark brown naturally so it takes 90 minutes of bleaching with a 30 volume to get it a pale yellow colour, even though i don't really let the roots turn really light otherwise i'd get breakage. I would never use 40 volume, but i do mix a bit into a 30 volume if i need to.
hmm WoW Freakin 15 mins!!! I am having the WORST troubles with getting my hair Platinum, it's Platinum blonde, and your hair does turn purple, I can only leave it on for like 2 mins b4 mine turns PURPLE!!! Or shades of BLUE!! shimmer lights is great toning shampoo for sensitive scalps, works good in the shower!/however most double process blondes would prefer 401 cool white however i like 404 platinum surf - taken off the market though
if u feel like u need todo all ur hair then apply to the root area first ,then go back and aplly on the rest of ur hair.
I jus usually pay more attention to the root area...but this last time i did all over and my hair got super white..check out my "bleaching touch up and toning all over video"

sumtimes hair that is already blonde will turn it more like a lavendar color..it takes the blonde/white look away..but it will evetually wash out!!!
I just finished all my bleaching stages for going platinum. And along with using my purple shampoo, every week I've been using John Frieda Sheer Blonde Daily Conditioner for platinum to champagne colored hair. well n-e-ways it has light enhancers and it really has been helping to lighten my hair along the way, after every use I noticed my hair was much brighter.
i get my hair professionally done.. because i am TERRIFIED of doing my own hair & messing it up and killing it! lol.. they put a toner on it but now its kinda dull.. and my red roots are coming in.. im trying to go awhile without dying it.. if i use that purple shampoo will that help with the dullness and help me wait awhile before dying it again? also.. can you just use the purple shampoo a few times a week alone and that will help or do you have to use another toner? love your videos!! =)
sure u ca jus use the purple shampoo meanwhile..thats what its for to help keep color fresh, toners always fade out but it helps with major brassiness

hI yes this is normal it will wash out its not permanent when you wash it again with regular shampoo it will be blonde again!!

you can use it it's just shampoo and won't damage your hair! I used to have the black underneath and blonde on top and used it all the time. Shimmer lights is the best! can leave your ends purple but washes out with regular shampoo

if you are putting blonde highlights in black hair do you put toner on your whole head or just on the blonde? "if only on the blonde if some gets on the black what will it do to it?"

the toner should jus be applied to the blonde...if ur hair is natural black it might lift it a lil..MAYBE..
but if ts its dyed it wont do anything..toner should only be left 5 to 15 min depending on ur hair!!

well the only toner that i know that didnt need a developer was the Manic Panic...
ALWAYS read instructions they will usually need a developer to work!!!

SOMETIMES UR HAIR WILL GET LAVEDAR.
use it when it hair looks brassy if ur hair is orangy use a 323 with a 30 dev it will help lift and tone at the same time..it might look yellow... tone again...i use the purple shampoo once a week i wash my hair twice a week in the winter...everyother day in da summer..
if u want it white u will have breakage..bleach till its super pale then tone!
i never bleach it super pale..when its more like pale with a hint of yellow..

the t 10 is is in the silver/platinum family..hair will have a slight biege tone in it depending on what level ur hair is if its yellow it might not come out the color u want but it will tone and leave hair blonde not white or silver...it is a nice color !!!

White Lady is NOT bleach actually a safer way to lift...but this will tone any yellow and yes u need a dev..a 20 works fine

ive been doing my hair lighter each day by just dying it with colors not bleach, and i decided to use bleach and it did turn yellow white, im trying to get it to a platinum blond or white, (which one is the one that looks grayish white? but not yellow, if u know what i mean lol)... i used shimmer lights and it left my hair looking purple. i try to use it for at least 5 min and it still turned purple., What tuner do u use?

I have SUPER dark ahir it's almost black, but still called brown. Anyways, I have bleached it myself and I have gone to many HIGH END salons, spending anywhere from $80.00 to $250.00. The verdict, my hair ALWAYS comes out better when I do it myself! I get tons of compliments on it, however I always leave the salon pissed ! This is not the case for everyone, but I have hard to color hair and over time, you know it better than anyone, even if they do know what they are doing!

then you wash out the toner then use the shampoo, and wait 15.
Or do you keep the toner in and then use the shampoo then wait 15 minutes then wash everything out?

you need to bleach it to pale yellow before you apply toner otherwise the purple wont eliminate the brassy yellow.

overlapping is hard though but i've had plenty of experience with mine so i hardly ever overlap at all, in fact I actualy don't midn mind roots going slightly yellower sometimes cos that means when i touch them up i can go over without breakage (:

great minds think alike...the next retouch when my hair isnt light enough i do the roots and then the yellowish part of my roots...butt i tried a new bleach yesterday and my hair is all one even shade of blonde..i have to be brave every time and jus watch it lift to almost a white...ee...... i know but my hair is tough!!!!

mine is too, it's like medium-dark brown naturally so it takes 90 minutes of bleaching with a 30 volume to get it a pale yellow colour, even though i don't really let the roots turn really light otherwise i'd get breakage. I would never use 40 volume, but i do mix a bit into a 30 volume if i need to.

hmm WoW Freakin 15 mins!!! I am having the WORST troubles with getting my hair Platinum, it's Platinum blonde, and your hair does turn purple, I can only leave it on for like 2 mins b4 mine turns PURPLE!!! Or shades of BLUE!! I've also realized that Platinum is kind of a grey-ishy color, but I want more of a white! IDK how I can go about doing this...salon's don't get it?!?!?! My hair is very porous, I've started using Mayonnaise, next time I will see about a filler, so it doesn't turn purple

shimmer lights is great toning shampoo for sensitive scalps, works good in the shower!/however most double process blondes would prefer 401 cool white however i like 404 platinum surf - taken off the market though

if u feel like u need todo all ur hair then apply to the root area first ,then go back and aplly on the rest of ur hair.
I jus usually pay more attention to the root area...but this last time i did all over and my hair got super white..check out my "bleaching touch up and toning all over video"
ull c how white my hair is at the end of the video.
sumtimes hair that is already blonde will turn it more like a lavendar color..it takes the blonde/white look away..but it will evetually wash out!!!

I just finished all my bleaching stages for going platinum. And along with using my purple shampoo, every week I've been using John Frieda Sheer Blonde Daily Conditioner for platinum to champagne colored hair. well n-e-ways it has light enhancers and it really has been helping to lighten my hair along the way, after every use I noticed my hair was much brighter.

i get my hair professionally done.. because i am TERRIFIED of doing my own hair & messing it up and killing it! lol.. they put a toner on it but now its kinda dull.. and my red roots are coming in.. im trying to go awhile without dying it.. if i use that purple shampoo will that help with the dullness and help me wait awhile before dying it again? also.. can you just use the purple shampoo a few times a week alone and that will help or do you have to use another toner? love your videos!! =)

It was for other people, not directed towards you. Many people think that Shimmer Lights is a shampoo that can be substituted for a peroxide-toner and that it will take care of all the maintance of being blonde.
