  • Steve McQueen didnt jump the bike in the great escape.

  • he looks weird with a beard yet no offense to the dead person but he is A W E S O M E

  • too bad all the greats die so young

  • Отчаянный! Жаль что рано ушел!

  • I always think Danny Craig would be a good choice for a McQueen Biopic movie

  • hot big head

  • pretty sure the 3rd pic wasn't him either. his fellow stuntman ended up doing the jump in the movie because of some insurance thing. he later did it to prove he could though.

  • One of the Greats! Missed sorely, Died to soon!

  • Steve worked as a rent boy in New York from 1950 to 1952.

  • @JuanMacready popular myth only

  • do you know he steve looks a little like? the dude out of prison break micheal schofield!! the eyes, the face and that, i dont know anybody else see that??

  • 0:11 movie right?

  • That dude actually got away with giving the peace sign on his mugshot.

Right there you know he's the King of Cool. Seriously.

  • @vassephardi So true! Plus the smile and the wounded nose... Way better than Nick Nolte or that hilarious Hilton-Chick!

  • @nienchen84 Wow, I didn't even notice his wounded nose.

And I heard he was so crazy in real life that Bruce Lee loved him. When Bruce Lee was asked who he'd like to be if he wasn't Bruce he said, without missing a beat "Steve McQueen".

And Steve McQueen said the same about Bruce Lee.

When I was a little kid I really liked the movie The Great Escape, especially with The Cooler King (Steve McQueen) who spent most of his prison time in solitary confinement.

Nick Nolte is no Mr. Cool.

  • @vassephardi I totally agree with that!

Watch Hellnight7's "Bruce Lee Talks About Steve McQueen+More!". Lee speaks so enthusiasticly about McQueen and calls him a son of a gun!

I grew up watching The Magnificent Seven...just love it!

  • @nienchen84 "That son of a gun has the toughness".

Ha ! ! ! Good interview with Bruce. I just wonder why they never made a movie together. I heard that Bruce wanted the main role in the Kung Fu series for one of his students. I just forgot his name right now but he was also in The Magnificent Seven. He was the guy who killed someone with his knife since he was quick throwing knives. You gotta know who I mean.

And thanks for the reference to that Bruce interview.

  • @vassephardi The guy with the knife would be Britt aka James Coburn. I didn't know that!

Did you know that when the movie was released Yul Brynner was the most popular actor of the magnificent 7 and was quite a diva: he claimed special tretment, wanted the biggest hotel room and so on. McCool was pissed and tried everything to draw the attention on himself in every scene he had with him, e.g. by cleaning his revolver or shaking the bullets in his hand while Brynner was speaking... So funny!

  • @nienchen84 Ha ! ! !

I could just see that short, bald-headed Yul strutting around like he's Top Dog. Remember the way he'd stand with his arms on his hips? I could imagine Steve coughing while Yul is just about to swing his golf club in a big game.

But yeah, Bruce had so many students & wanted roles for them. He called Kareem Abdul Jabbar & Kareem IMMEDIATELY got on a plane to be in Game Of Death with Bruce.

When Bruce baked a cake EVERYBODY ate.

  • @vassephardi You turn out to be a big Bruce-Lee-fan, huh? I have to admit that I only know that biopic about him.... But he's definitly cool, almost paraplegic but with that strong will to walk upright! And appearantly he was very caring for his friends, too.

    "Be water my friend!"

  • @nienchen84 I'd love to have seen a movie with Bruce a& Steve together. Bruce had that TV series with his student James Franciscus. McQueen said in an interview that if he could be born as anyone else he'd be Bruce. I actually see Bruce as the Asiatic version of Steve.

I really think Bruce died of a "Slow Di Mak" as he was teaching everybody, even though he was threatened to stop teaching the gaijin. And look here at Mr. Cool. Great movie had they ever made one together.

  • He looked terrible in the Tom Horn pictures.

  • Bud Ekins did the bobwire fence jump in the Great Escape and the motorbike slide in Bullitt chase. Behind every Star there is Stuntman.

  • Third picture is Bud Ekins not Steve McQueen. Ekins was about 6 inches taller.

  • The first image is a lookalike

  • i'd say your 100% correct.......and the picture at 0.16 he looks a little like Kevin Costner.......

  • @GJASmith God, you're right. Can see it.

  • @GJASmith Its is son whom he never knew by a women he had interlude with. He is not a look-a-like its DNA. !!

  • @wearyworld

    It's a lookalike, he's called Mark Myers.

    tiger100.co.uk/mcqueen.html

  • Eastwood fan, but just read any biography into this guy... he was touch- sensitive. He didn't take fools gladly.

  • the king of cool, there will never be another like him

  • @goldyn12345 I AGREE =)
