i agree slipspace has the advantage of not being effected by real space but in slip space it takes halo forces quite a while to get from point A to point B. on the other hand hyperspace realatively quick.
@Lee0074 It depends on what forces you're talking about. UNSC ships could travel at about 2.625 light-years per day. Covie ships could travel about 912.12 light-years per day. Both of those are alot slower than Hyperspace.
But the Forerunner Keyship could travel 98.8 light-years per HOUR. That's 2371.2 light-years per day. And it was operating at only 10% engine efficiency after 100,000 years of neglect and misuse. At it's peak, it could hit 23,712 light-years per day.
@Lee0074 Also, there have been times when Hyperspace was proven to be extremely slow because it had to make several jumps around something. An example being when General Grievous had to make multiple jumps around a nebula. If I remember right, Republic forces simply flew through the nebula and engaged Grievous on the other side.
Slipspace would have absolutely no issues with a nebula or any other astronomical body.

@someguy9401 and if you played RC they have personel shielding as well. eventhough they dont really need them because eventhough clones have plastoid armor it is actually strong enough to deflect bullets and disipate plasma weapons. spartans may have strength and speed, but clones have numbers, armor, and tech advantage.

@someguy9401 ignoring the 2 unevolved species (cough borngodofwar and Mr. Matto cough) it is a little iffy. clones agaisnt spartan-I's maybe about 2 clones for each spartan. Spartan-II's about 4or5 for each spartan. lastly spartan-3's is about 2or3 clones each. now the 501st and republic commandos on the other hand they will just get slaughtered. the 501st legion was specifically trained to kill jedi. so spartan-II's are little less than jedi/sith they would be no problem.

did you know that in halo the flood pods in that bit used parts of high carity that they had takin in halo 2 and its armor was very strong and could go about everything so there for it went through the ship like butter but also usaly covie ships realy on shield tec. so they dont worry about metal armor but human ships do and if that went for a unsc ship it would bounce right of the armor without denting it and now about halo ground forces. ill put this in a new comment thing.

And that Flood pod didn't carry that much momentum, specially compared iron/nickle asteroids wihich are several dozen meters in diameter and travels with speeds of many hunreds of meters per second. And perhaps the UNSC ships hulls are stronger than Covenant armour to physical projectiles, but they sucks against heat which are turbolasers primary damage component. Their armor would be as useful as wax.

i agree slipspace has the advantage of not being effected by real space but in slip space it takes halo forces quite a while to get from point A to point B. on the other hand hyperspace realatively quick.

@Lee0074 It depends on what forces you're talking about. UNSC ships could travel at about 2.625 light-years per day. Covie ships could travel about 912.12 light-years per day. Both of those are alot slower than Hyperspace.
But the Forerunner Keyship could travel 98.8 light-years per HOUR. That's 2371.2 light-years per day. And it was operating at only 10% engine efficiency after 100,000 years of neglect and misuse. At it's peak, it could hit 23,712 light-years per day.

@Lee0074 Also, there have been times when Hyperspace was proven to be extremely slow because it had to make several jumps around something. An example being when General Grievous had to make multiple jumps around a nebula. If I remember right, Republic forces simply flew through the nebula and engaged Grievous on the other side.
Slipspace would have absolutely no issues with a nebula or any other astronomical body.

It also allows a ship to travel from Point A to Point B without regard to what may be between the two points. Spartan-II's about 4or5 for each spartan. lastly spartan-3's is about 2or3 clones each. now the 501st and republic commandos on the other hand they will just get slaughtered. the 501st legion was specifically trained to kill jedi. so spartan-II's are little less than jedi/sith they would be no problem.

a clone/stormtroopers armor can actualy deflect bullets and dissipate plasma weapons so halo is screwed right there. the droids were numbered in the TRILLIONS or QUANTILLIONS and that is just 5% of the empires MILITARY. i dont think you want to know the other 95%. second blasters are actualy FASTER than bullets. so if jedi can dodge/deflect lasers than they can do the same for bullets. the scarab is laughable compared to the at-at. it would take week to bring one down.

just mass of the 2nd death star they couldve made MILLIONS more star destroyers instead of the making the second death star. lets also not forget the galaxy gun which target anyone a GALAXY away. so IF halo proves to be a irritance they can just fall back and just blow up the planet or fleet. its even more effective than the nova bomb. star wars wins on land. Why? because of technological superiority, firepower and numbers.

ok let me clear up to these idiotic halo fan boys. halo would lose in space. why? because star destroyers can shoot about 179,000,000 kilos from their target while covenant and unsc only has a range of 500,000 kilos. now lets say if the star destroyers were closer. it takes three mac rounds to just bring down the SHIELDS of a covenant ccs battle cruiser. and the empire did have 25,ooo SD. and you know what else?

forunners have better tech , and I could also say that in the movies I see, preety much anyone in starwars standing out in the complete middle of the battle and sometimes even charging baricaddes and just getting mowed down by lasers. So I am going to have to say if Forunners and Precursors are still alive then Halo has this and Halo Rings are not instant suicide because of sheild worlds so with that they can also win.

but Forunners and Precursors have better tech and it was shown that Forunners had trillions in just a defence fleet to blockade a planet. Some of these ships were just guided by AI who are smarter than people and can react a lot faster. They also control this galaxy which means whos to say that the troops and ships on their side could not be upgraded with forunner tech. Just saying I agreee that they have more factions, but maybe in halo four there might be more to add to this.

Didn't Medicant Bias just have a few thousands capital ships in a fleet of millions? I doubt that the Forerunners navy was that extensive considering their utter defeat against a being which would have been crunched under the industrial boots of Star Wars.

dude forruner ships knowin to be nearly indestructable and the only race that came close to beating them was humanity and before they were known as cavemen they were smarter than the forruners and had ships that were 10 to 15 miles long and had a very very large army but the forruners were a strong race pisiclay and they stood 8 to 9 foot tall and could crush a human skull with trying and the bulit the halo rings(7) each having a firing race of 25 light years.

a star destroyer fires a beam on the one thing halos go everywhere to kill everything and unsc shipsand covie ships can fight with like 95% of there hull breached and halo has a larger populaion that the SW universe because of the amount of races so there for a larger army and have macs witch can take out any ship with in a few bursts.

And it's bullshit that a Covenant or human ship can survive with 95% of its hull breached. And no, Halo doesn't have a larger population. The minimum population of the Galactic Empire at its height was at least 100 quadrillion beings (Essential Atlas). I've never heard such a number mentioned in Halo.

A Star Destroyer's hull is so strong it can pulverize million ton asteroid with its bridge tower. Compare that with Covenant ships which can be pierced right through by a single flood infested drop pod.

thats bullshit and flood drop pod could not break through any halo type ship including the unsc sprit of fire witch you have to defend from flood and the use drop pods and they did not even scratch the the ships hull and that couldo only enter the ship by doors and hangers. covie and human ships can stand many brute force from anything is we put all SW and HALO ship in a fight it would be an even battle needless to say halo ground troops can easily overpower SW ground troops.

So obviously they can't take that much kinetic damage. And no, if all Halo ships and Star Wars ships fought each other it would be a massacre of the Halo side.
And why do you think SW ground forces would be easily beaten by Halo? It's not like Halo has anything really impressive to come with.

did you know that in halo the flood pods in that bit used parts of high carity that they had takin in halo 2 and its armor was very strong and could go about everything so there for it went through the ship like butter but also usaly covie ships realy on shield tec. so they dont worry about metal armor but human ships do and if that went for a unsc ship it would bounce right of the armor without denting it and now about halo ground forces. ill put this in a new comment thing.

And that Flood pod didn't carry that much momentum, specially compared iron/nickle asteroids wihich are several dozen meters in diameter and travels with speeds of many hunreds of meters per second. And perhaps the UNSC ships hulls are stronger than Covenant armour to physical projectiles, but they sucks against heat which are turbolasers primary damage component. Their armor would be as useful as wax.

halo ground forces have way better stuff than SW like spartans,scorpian tank,grizzlys(beefed up version of the scorpian.),worthog,falcon,hornet,hawk,banshee,wraith and a fucking scarib that tares through everything so yeh SW is out matched by for cuz iv seen SW ground stuff and ant that cool or deadly i mean thouse walker thing are slow and clumsy.

Since even the most basic vehicle such as the Republic's AT-TE's can lob grenades with enough firepower to equal a multi-megaton (at least) nuclear bomb, i don't see how the Covenants can win. A single AT-TE would turn a Scarab into steam in no time. As for your thinking walkers are clumsy, well, maybe they are, but they are agile enough to take down aircrafts, and in the case of the AT-TE, they can even walk on mountain walls.
