Artist was better in the old time , the Beatles , Bob Dylan , Hendrix an other was just the best ! Now we have just some shit like Justin bieber , lady gaga , Cody Simpson ! I would like to be in 1960 , where it was REAL and GOOD music ... -3
@Fx3Productions : And who would you invite to this new Woodstock? Lady Gaga? Or perhaps Justin Bieber is the true sender of good vibes? Unfortunately, most of the music stars of today are fake and lifeless. I think MGMT is the only band minimally worthy of going to Woodstock 2, because their psychedelic revivement is not bad at all.
Am amazing festival like Woodstock is a one-in-a-time thing, and will, unfortunately, probably never happen again. Yes yes, I know. Cry with me brother!
TRES DIAS EN QUE LA LIBERTAD Y EL AMOR SE VIVIERON FRENETICAMENTE CON MENSAJES QUE QUISIERON CAMBIAR EL MUNDO Y COMO SIEMPRE LA JUVENTUS FUE EL PRINCIPAL INGREDIENTE...NO SE PUDO PERO LO INTENTARON ...GRACIAS POR ESO .
my people i preach to you, Wood Stock still exists! Nelsons Ledges park throws festivals every weekend all summer long ever year where thousands of people gather and trip, not just on mad drugs, but on the vibe of peace and love that over whelms you as you enter the gates. I went there this summer for the badfish festival (tribute to sublime) and i tell you it was like nothing i have ever experienced. Its a must experience time!!
the timing of this video in relation to the music is something else. when it cuts to jimi hendrix his bandanna accents the melody of the song and era...fckng amazing!!!!!!!!!!
So do you see that picture of Janis Joplin? In the background there's a picture of a girl smoking. She looks bored so I wonder if she knows she's SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO JANIS JOPLIN!!!!! Gosh. Wickedddddd would have loved that.
Going to Woodstock World was a seminal event in my life. It changed me forever. I thought the spirit of Woodstock would sweep across America. I was naive, it didn't. Back then women liked being near me. Today I am smarter, stronger and a better man. Yet, women look at me like I don’t exist.
That’s ok, because I'm writing an historical novel about a uptight man that goes to Woodstock, meets the love of his life, does acid and becomes a draft resister, as he fights against injustice. Peace
@TheWoodstockWarrior your so lucky! im 15 sooo i am not even close to that era. and i would literally cut my legs and arm, if i were to have a chance to be around the most magnificent era EVER recorded in history. and to meet my inspiration, Jim Morrison! your lucky, again,
but its okay in my heaven the 60s will NEVER DIE!
@chairezjr3 I saw that too! It's Steve Jobs experimenting in his mind with different shapes to figure out the most comfortable and user friendly design for the iPhone, a Mobile handheld device he knew he would be unveiling exactly 41 years, 5 months, and 27 days later; it would outsell every other mobile handheld device on the market, in which he also knew because he knew that someone would create a cell phone and that one day he would create the best mobile handheld device for that tech ever.
@chairezjr3 It's probably a "transistor radio" which was hugely popular at the time and was a revolution in communications (at least on the receiving end) back in the day. The amplifier wasn't very powerful, though, so seeing someone holding one to their ear was a common sight. Some things never change.
why did we have to change. couldn't we all just of stayed like this, this amazin time where everythin big and small was appreciated and rock was concidered the best, rather than the poppy dick heads we have now. why did it all have to change. . . .
I started playing guitar because of him and Jimmy Page. Today I wrote and recorded a song. If you want to hear how Hendrix-inspired muisc sounds 2011 style click on wisztrock.
i agree with both chucho3517 and fetcha200...........haha i wish we had peace of stead of kill.........i also wish i could live back when it was going on because now a days things are fucked up big time...............people grab guns instead of guitars now...........play subs instead of amps.............flip the bird instead of giving the peace sign...........fuck i ask myself why i was born into this generation!!!!!!!!!PEACE FOR EVER!!!!!!!!<3
Last year I went in Taizè (NB...google: taizè) a small village in France..... you can stay here playing your guitar, meeting other people, ecc.... ecc. When I was there i rediscovered the 60s climate There aren't places like that nowadays ... consider this summer experience..... (my English is really bad, I know....I'm Italian :) )
No babies Chucho3517 and Fetcha200...you are this generation so remember ours...this is the way it has always been. And you know what? Most of our generation didn't APPRECIATE the previuos generation until we saw how things had changed, and how we needed to return to the values we had lost (jin all those revolutions...we are about to have some more, so the old timer revolutionaries will boost up this next generation! Get ready to see it come again~they studied us for what's going on now!
Trust me kids. It was'nt all peace love and roses. It was a time of great upheaval. How ironic that the greatest rock, fusion and just uplifting music came out of that period. I remember coming home to the network news showing the death toll for the day and week. I dont know why we dont have that coverage today. Can anyone explain it?
@chuckbyf1 We don't have it today because "They" won't make the same mistake they made in the 60's; i.e. give the media free reign to tell the truth. The reaction from the public produces more damage to their agenda than they are prepared to absorb. Now, the media serves corporate and government interests. Not ours.
Вот такое было во времена наших родителей! Уважаю это поколение и поколение их воспитавшее. Наверное, послевоенные дети более счастливы, нежели мы - избалованные комфортом((
my grand mother is a hippie so in a sence i took over that sence of bieng and state of mind and sence of style i love all i wish the new artiste where more like the 60's and 70's and less about girls and sex and degrating women and more like peace and love and whats happenning in the world
To all of you who wish they'd been born in that generation.. it was completely brilliant to be young then, the music was great, the girls were beautiful, the shit was plentiful and the vibe was buzzing. But, come on guys, we're old now, you're young. Make the most of your youth while you've got it, we did and so can you. Don't end up regretting anything - make it happen!!!
@GETAUSERNAMEGETALIFE And another thing...it wasn't all peace, love, great music and drug-fueled orgies back then. If you were a young American guy in the late Sixties, there's a good chance that instead of going to Woodstock, you would have been getting shipped off to Vietnam. Which would have sucked.
@bodaciouscowboy A fair point my friend. I'm English and we weren't in that conflict, just demonstrating against it - not like now when thanks to nice Mr Tony Blair we seem to want to get involved in any war that's going.
Oh yes you all it was the best time i ever had..this vid brings back alot of memories.Tell you some about it...i used drugs for the first time and you know who was there. The who, jefferson airplane and a man by the name of jimi hendrix.i never did see that man again.

Then i calm down, when listen to this orginal, soulful, beautiful music from the 60s an 70s."And by the way i'm 28 years old"
@cory3354 sorry to bum you out cory but there will never be another decade like that. I was at Woodstock 69 and I can tell you this world has changed for the worse, there will never be a time like that ever again! You can thank the politicians for ruining our country, back then we had freedom, today they are taking it away from us. I will never forget those three glorious days and nights at Woodstock 69 the memories will be with me forever.
@cory3354 Whatever is in the "collective conciosness" will eventually express itself. Of course!--in some form--it can and probably WILL happen again! It's in the human spirit. Freedom and Love are not things that die-they are ideas that eventually live and bubble up to the surface. Have true faith. Cynics can live in their self-made prisons, but eventually they'll want to get out too.
@cory3354 its not the same anymore. woodstock was so great then because hendrix and santana were running the music world and today's artists just cant put on a show like they could even with flashy lights and better amps none sound as good as hendrix did in 69
my grandpa almost when to this but his friend bailed out at the last second! dumb friend, if it wasn't for him i could have said my grandpa was there!
Great job, Sundriod ..... although I didn't make it to the festival, I still remember it like it was yesterday ...... The Summer of Love, great music, good vibes ~
@jim13der maybe it gonna happen...someday...but there won't be so many people! not even close... that's why the Woodstock is and it will be the biggest open fest ever! pisss.... :)
The difference between our generation and that generation is how much the music was part of the culture. It wasn't JUST a pastime or a background noise. It had meaning. It was a movement.
Hey I was 12 years old when Woodstock went down...man folks woudnt let me go..but my brother and friends went...they had a cultural change man.....for you young utubers the sixtiies where a time of many changes in this country....some good..some bad...it wasnt as fun as the festival makes it seems...enjoy your time and your generation...take the postives from those days and apply it now....Peace man!!!!! Only one Mona Lisa...one Janis...one jimi....one Woodstock!!!
I'm a hippie but man those days were divine I should have been there if I was born.
It's not easy in new days to get and do something like woodstock was.
now the music, fashion, ways of thinking follows a stereotype, if in the tv is cool to wear jeans everyone wears jeans, if it say that a braindead music is cool everyone listen's to it, this that this that come on people have you no sense of what you want? why follow the masses be yourself and don't be affraid of it
IM WITH YOU ON THAT!!!! no its all about gangster yo!! fuk that i wish i lived at that time nothing like smoking and listen to music that made you feel good compare to the shit we listen to know OLD SCHOOL ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!!!!
i dont think today's culture is bad at all and im glad i have the chance to be able to listen to these amazing artists whenever i feel and can also listen to the more modern music that can also be good as well. We live in an era that will be remembered as well, ya know. Im sure we will miss these days 20 years in the future when everything is changed again. I DO wish that I could have seen this concert though. lol
There are still festivals and young people with the same spirit, although music is often electronic nowadays (like psychedelic trance). But still, the 60's are far behind us :(.
Seems like yesterday. The spirit still lives in some of us. I know it does in me. Every festival since then tries to obtain that same feeling, but just doesn't quite get it. We as a people have changed. I long for those days of freedom to leave my windows & backdoor open. Back then, we held hands & put our arms around each other to show what we felt without shame. Peace & Love to everyone who never had that chance!
@Fetcha200 Hi! I see so many posts by frustrated youth about how soul-less today's music is, to the point where I'm collecting them to make a documentary or something. I'm glad to read your optimistic post. To all who are reading this, if you don't like what's going on, get up and change it. They youth of the 60s created their own movement. They didn't wait for it, or buy it or download it. Life is in your hands...whatcha gonna make?
I'm very young, but I hate this time. I'd like to live in '60/'70.
They had ideals and they fought to defend them, they had great music and great singers or bands and their first thought in the morning wasn't a social network or a reality show...
Excuse if i made mistakes, but i don't speak very well English.
@Annalisa1108 Miss Annalisa, please don't worry. I was born in the sixties, 1965, and I can tell you that it was not all milk and honey, as it is made out to be.. Our generation had its full share of problems. And its full quota of fools and dullards. you seem to be a nice person and for nice persons, any time is a good time to be born. Cheers!!
why did i have to be born in the 80's. im only 20 yrs of age but It's just something about the 60's that just captures my mind. Just The beautiful people with The Fads,Movements. Most definetly The MUSIC makes me really wish i was living through that whole decade.
there all so chill, i wish it could be like that know a days. people would probably be more open to the changes we may have to face.

The difference between our generation and that generation is how much the music was part of the culture. It wasn't JUST a pastime or a background noise. It had meaning. It was a movement.

"Everybody is a Star" was not released until Dec. 1969, four months after Woodstock.

I'm a hippie but man those days were divine I should have been there if I was born.
It's not easy in new days to get and do something like woodstock was.
now the music, fashion, ways of thinking follows a stereotype, if in the tv is cool to wear jeans everyone wears jeans, if it say that a braindead music is cool everyone listen's to it, this that this that come on people have you no sense of what you want? why follow the masses be yourself and don't be affraid of it
peace

i dont think today's culture is bad at all and im glad i have the chance to be able to listen to these amazing artists whenever i feel and can also listen to the more modern music that can also be good as well.

RawrInYawrHeart 1 year ago

Annalisa1108 1 year ago 2
