I'm probably one of the largest meat eaters around, but this is just sick. How can corporations be allowed to operate like this in a 'civilised' society?
I don't mind eating chicken at fast food restraunts. I don't mind chickens being bred for food. I don't mind steps being taken to keep the handlers safe from being nibbled on like beak clipping. I DO mind the chickens being thrown against a wall and then jumped on a couple of times--does that make people feel big and tough? I was just boycotting KFC until I watched this again, now I will avoid ALL Yum Brand restaurants. This is not easy to do because I live in Louisville, where Yum is headquartered, and they employ a lot of folks here. However, I can't in good conscience patronize them with their current chicken-"raising" practices. My family has raised beef cattle my whole life. These cattle are "just going to be killed", but they have a healthy, comfortable existence until that day.

People seem to think that when you watch something like this you MUST of Veg. I eat meat, but I do it with a conscious. There are more & more suppliers of meats who employ proper farming & slaughter technique. I am very against places like KFC, they need to change or be closed down. As the throats are cut, they die "immediately.". which means no pain.. the movement of the body is just due to the contraction and relaxation of the muscles due to frequent flow of the blood.. THEY DO NOT FEEL PAIN
secondly if you dont eat them, there will be an overpopulation (this applies to all the cattle)

@Leonidus82 We don't need meat to survive. It may not be natural as we have canine teeth which are designed to rip up meat BUT that does not stop the fact that we can live without it. Many say we don't get nearly as much protein or iron as needed. But if the animal gets the nutrients to pass on to meat-eaters where do you think we get it. Pulses, beans and tofu are good for protein. Leafy green veg, nuts, dried fruit and whole grains.

People seem to think that when you watch something like this you MUST of Veg. I eat meat, but I do it with a conscious. There are more & more suppliers of meats who employ proper farming & slaughter technique. I am very against places like KFC, they need to change or be closed down. As consumers tho we should be very aware of what we are eating & how it got to us.

It's not right to abuse animals, but there's nothing wrong with eating meat in an appropriate manner. That's where PETA goes awry, they categorically claim everyone who eats meat as some kind of monster. So, just like any other extremist group, they do more harm than good and become just as destructive as the people they claim to fight against. Let's not start to equivocate animals to people either.
