@Scotybaby Whether they were English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish or even Nepalese Ghurkas, they were fighting for the British Army. Traditionally they would fly the British flag. (Probably some Scottish flags flown anyway, but they were also probably against regulations so that Allies such as the americans could recognise who they're with.)

@Windrunner1 ah, that is to say against regulations because the Yanks and mainland europeans wouldn't be guaranteed to recognise a Scottish flag.

well at that time the british army had a mix race a cultral units, but some regements are founded by multinational units such as the black watch and gurkas, i could go on but i would be borin myself
