@capcomfan2010 I have no idea what your talking about, Dawn of Dreams was a masterfull work of art. This Fortinbras looks cheesy, unintresting, and weak in compared to Dawn of Dreams. The storyline entwined pretty beautifuly with japanese folklore and history. While I can only bash as much on 2 & 3 as much I would be able to bash on Dawn of Dreams, the fact remains, it was an awesome game and few came in comparison to it's fluid and fun gameplay, beautiful design, and bold storyline.

@Leoatsuma Egh, I will agree with you in saying that it is a good game, but I just can't compare it to the original three Onimusha's. It changes so much, I can't consider it an Onimusha game, and the fact it says it is makes me not like it. As a standalone, I guess it's pretty good.

this onimusha and Onimusha 2 and 3 will always be the best ones, Dawn Of Dreams in my opinion was the worst onimusha game ever made.

this one has 20 floors in the dark realm, #2 has i think 4 Phantom Realm (Last one is purple = 20 floors), #3 i forgot how many floors that one had, and #4 (Dawn of Dreams) had one with 100 floors. Took awhile to complete the 100 floor Dark Realm with all the people.

But anyway, the Bishamon sword is awesome when you get it. makes the game so easy.

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed at the lack of CG cutscenes in Onimusha 3 (the opening was pretty nice though).

I've now switched to ODoD as my favorite game in the series since it has more content, it's longer, and Akane is my favorite character. Plus, I did unlock everything in it including weapons, medicines, and beat it in all modes and all 500 floors of the dark realm in all modes including Oni mode.

I think Capcom announced Onimusha 5 some time ago, but who knows.

@TehKoolaidkid In Onimusha Dawn of Dreams (the 4th one), the dark realm has 100 levels for each character with a total 500. There's like an achievement thing where you unlock "trophies" like medicine. I beat it on normal, hard, and Oni mode. There's no easy mode in the 4th one. Oni mode is when an enemi hits you, it makes your HP drop to 1 HP, the next hit kills you. Even if you max out your HP bar, it's the same and the last levels of the Oni mode are insanely hard even in normal mode.

@TehKoolaidkid It is, specially when you're trying to get through all 500 levels of the dark realm. Even the weakest demon can kill you in two hits. There's also no ultimate mode. Instead, you get two types of items, 4 of each with a total of 8, to get the coolest upgrade in the series. You can get 4 of one type. A single item does not work at all. 4 items of one type make you strong. With 4 items of the other type, no one will be able to stop you except for the firt final boss (there are two).

I guess there are still people who don't know how to get the Bishamon sword. It'd be fun to see them try the mini game, which is challenging if it's your first time playing it.

Anyways, this game had pretty good voice acting, but most of the graphics and animatons weren't that great since it was originally a psx game. Onimusha 3 and Dawn of Dreams have the best graphics out of the 4 main games.

Go through all 20 levels in the Dark Realm to get the Bishamon Ocarina. Then after you've beaten the final Marcellus form, go towards the last save point. There should be a door that can't be opened, use the Ocarina, go inside and press X in front of the skeleton to get the sword.
