why do you like nvidia more? you should not. The new ati 5xxx serie of cards is much more performance/buck then all of nvidia cards, and you get dx11, tesselation and eyefinity!

The quality is the same between nvidia and ati

If you like nvidia that much that you can pay more for less then you should wait till there gt300 cards came out in mars or something

its also the cost. tht card u named costs a bit more than i have. it is between a gtx 275 for 230 or a gtx 280 for 160, which is on ebay so it isn't too reliable

I just sold my 275, but i was very happy with it. I now bought a 5850. It is an awesome beast of a gpu ;)

But if you prefer nvidia (less performance :O (200 series)) choose the 275.

If you have a 275 a 5850 really isnt worth it espeically if you have the ftw ed which is equal to the 285 the 5850 is only 10 percent faster then a gtx 285.

No its not all the tests favor gtx 275 except for the crysis warhead where always the hd 4890 was 3 fps up. But in all the other tests the gtx 275 smashed it.

nah man, it'll run it fine. i ran a BFG 8800gts 512mb heavilly overclocked, an e8400 @3,8ghz, 2gb ddr3 1600 on an asus p5q3 deluxe wifi in an antec 900, samsung 1TB hd and i ran it on a 300w bestec psu from a compaq machine for almost 2 weeks until my 800w OCZ was delivered. it ran sweet constantly, even playing crysis for 4 hours at a time. i found it hard to believe but it ran sound as fuck. I WOULDNT RECCOMMEND IT THO.

are you on drugs??? a core2duo e8400 45nm on an asus p5q3 p45 mobo lga775. its a ddr3 mobo. ddr3 was around before i7 ya know. i had an asus p5kc ddr2/ddr3 combo p35 chipset running ddr3 on it, 2gb or corsair xms3 1333mhz, that was like 2years ago. the performance was no better than ddr2 tho. theres alot of lga775 socket mobo's that are native ddr3, you can run a pentium on them if its lga775 cpu. so tell me why u cant run an e8400 with ddr3?
