On the women bishops point - its not really anything to do with whether the church think women can be equally good bishops, its purely to do with going against what god's laugh-a-minute bible says. Yes, I agree that the gradual errosion of gods rules within the church has been a result of trying to keep step with changing times. Trouble is, there are so few left untouched now that the fundamentalists are desperately trying to keep hold of those that remain. Religious organisation tend to be exempt from the moral rules that the rest of society have to abide by.

Did you know that UK faith schools are legally allowed to refuse jobs to people not from their faiths? They're also allowed to refuse entry to potential students not from their religions.
