@Jmanjz2320 Actually the shot was fired downwards, I remember this episode very well because later the Officer who shot was really upset about what he was forced to do. They didn´t followed up on the subjects medical state, but I remember that it looked like a non life threatening injury as the bullet hit his lower stomach (i.e - not any vital organs) Let´s hope they both survived that day with just a scary story to tell, the Officer and the shot suspect.

Another fake an unjustifiable option. The officers should have followed the assailant and tried reasoning with him, not put themselves in front of the guy so close. The area they were in was the perfect area to try and talk him down first. Another unjustified shooting by police.

@epohnopulse the shooting itself was totally justified, it was a life-treathening situation for the officer, so a fellow one shot.

But I agree with you, what happened before wasn't okay.

But they needed to stop him, baton and pepper didn't work, and they won't walk down the whole highway, so they tried to establish a static situation by blocking his path, but in fact they escalated the situation.

Band handling, but nothing unjustified. Bottom line is, he brought himself into this situation.

@epohnopulse This shooting was totally justifiable. The highway was closed and they weren't gonna keep it closed for a long time just to try and reason with this man. They were simply trying to detain him so that they could get him off the road and reopen the highway, which is why they boxed him in between the car, the guardrail and the officers. The act of bringing the knife up was seen as an act of aggression towards the officer which was life threatening, so he had to shoot.

@JokoHaqa This an old episode, before tasers were available. Also, the suspect made a life threatening move towards the officer. He raised the knife and started to swing it towards the officer. It is a perfectly justifiable shooting.
