They come as dried eggs in a small bag or envelope.

They lay eggs once they are an adult. (7-10 days after eggs hatching) then they will lay about 10 eggs per day afterwards. You have to remove the eggs and allow them to dry completely unless you want them to hatch right away but the adults will eat the babies.

Nah, the triops will be just fine, as long as you don't dump the sand on top of them. Put the sand in a corner, and push it out along the bottom.
