to put music into your phone as a list to listen music from, you need to first convert the songs from mp3 to mp4, i believe, and then you can transfer them using your USB cord and then save them in "my music" folder. If its for just ringtones then all you do is DL the song, and transfer them using your USB cord and save them in "My ringtones" folder. That's pretty much it! =O)

then they dont have their's on discover mode (you should have it there as well) if neither worked, including the video then it could be that you or they don't have bluetooth at all (or it isn't working, my dad has one but for some odd reason its not working, i think you need to pay extra or its just not compatible...)

i've always hated doing bluetooth because you have to do so many steps.. okay here's some:

1. you may have too many people on your register list (i think up to 7 only) make room (delete 4 or 5) if not then try this:

a. go to bluetooth, bluetooth settings, "enable" and then click on, "discovery mode" make sure the other person is on discovery mode too and their BT is enabled. Then search for each other and use this password: 00000

you can use other ones, ones you downloaded and if they text you, you just have to know how to do it.

really stupid question but ... if i dont pay for internet (on either phones) can i still send pictures and music via bluetooth without paying extra. in other word is it completely free or should expect a surprise on my next bill

thats not a stupid question, most people get confused on that too. The internet has nothing to do with bluetooth or texting. they are all separate charges you just need to add it to your plan. Heres a list of additional stuff you can have to your phone:

internet - $5

picture texting - $3

bluetooth (as far as i know is free)

aim/msn - $5

(i can't remember the rest i think thats pretty much it lol)

so in conclusion, yes you can eliminate the metro web and still be able to send msg

passkey is what you want it to be. If you are connecting with BT with someone you need to put 4 digits (ex: 0000) and then for the other person who is connecting with you, they have to put "0000" as well.

im not sure if its 4 digits or 5, but whatever you put must be the same for the other BT you are trying to connect with.

both phones must be with the same pass key. When you are at the connecting part you must press 4 numbers (ex: 0000) and the other phone needs to copy the CORRECT one that YOU put. (ex: 1st phone: 0000 the 2nd one is 0000) if you are still having problems then go to your cell store and find out whats going on. the key code is not a permanent code. It's a code used to let the person you are connecting with get access to your stuff. If not, then everyone around you will be hacking your phone.

i have the older version .. the black one .. and my bro has thhe red one n i try sending ringtones from his phone to mine but it says i put in the wrong passkey but i type in "0000" n it doesn't work .. but with other people . they just put 0000 and it workds .. can u help me out ??

how about him? does he have you in his list? i think i was having that problem too and what i did was delete them from my list (their name in my phone and my name from their phone) and re-did everything. and it worked.

thats odd.... try other numbers. I mean the pass code is just so you and the person you are trying to connect with, connects you two ONLY. Because you could have 4 people around you whose Bluetooth is on and get confused and send them the wrong info. Sometimes they can even get into your phone and see your photos (i dunno how that works so dont even ask lol) but try other numbers... if nothing work then call Metro and see whats going on. It could be a defect in the phone?

actually, now that i mention it... it did come with headsets i dont never pulled it out of the box because i dont use the MP3 i have my iPod... so the phone did came with heatset, phone itself, charger for the phone, and usb cables.

hmm... i honestly don't know... I had that problem with my Nextel awhile back... But now that i know how to create my own music, i dont have that problem. Sorry ='( the only way you can hear the music (if you are bluetoothing with your buddy) then tell your friend to play it and you listen to it.
