C.von F. Heimendorf can be considered as "Father of Apatanis". He and his beloved wife are still remembered by Apatanis lovingly as "LALING-YALLU". It is said that these names for the great anthropologists came when She(Mrs. Heimendorf) use to call her husband by "DARLING" and He use to respond "HELLO".Since than Apatanis assumed that Husband's name is Laling(darling) and wife's Yallu(hello).These are Apatani names or else Apatanis might have been unable to pronounce their original name!
this was realy interesting and tell us passed liife style of apatani,which we have no image their lifestyles.I thanks to Haimendorf and teams.
