Craig is the best bond ever, he is totally believable, James Bond is after all a cold blooded killer, an assassin, not a nice character that u would want to meet really. Craig looks as though he could kill someone, he has bond down to a fine art now!

Quantum of Solace, Magnum of Misery, Vacuum of Bond, Abyssum for the franchise...I could go on. I even hate the way Craig walks as Bond. It's such a smug, stocky strut. He's talking a bunch of bollocks as well. Forster's storytelling abilities second to none? I doubt he would say that now. The Kite Runner was a wonderful movie? Forster ruined the book! How someone who made Monsters Ball and Finding Neverland could be good for Bond is beeeyond me.

I like Forster and liked QoS... but it just didn't match up to Casino Royale in every facet except for .. hand to hand combat. That's probably it. Hopefully the next one will be return Bond to greatness like Royale'

And we could also add that this was probably the first Bond movie where Bond didn't slept with a girl that is called "Bond Girl" ;)

Let me clear up people's biggest misunderstanding. The James Bond stories go in an order. Casino Royal then this then the rest. So ofcourse there is no Q or Money Penny... Yet. Hell, he is not as smooth as the others either. From this perspective, you could say that in time, James Bond is at his early stage of smoothness. Hence, his ruggedness.

I think the same. M really seems like the top dog in M16 in these flicks, as she should be. Her giving Bond shit is apart of her job, yet as you noted, she does understand enough to console him when needed. I mentioned this on imdb. M isn't just 'there' anymore like in past flicks. She's more involved.

I thought Casino Royalt=e had ,lost all the suave charm, and character that the actors have given to Bond (especially RM, and SC).

However, it has been said that the DC Bond is the one Ian Flemming intended for his book.

My favourite Bond is Roger Moore, followed by Sean Connery.

However, I am looking forward to this movie, and I'm anticipating the supposedly new side of the character that DC is going to bring!

She is great, however, I think it is wrong to change the gender or race of an already established character in any circumstance, especially when they were a certain type for over 30 yrs. It's like having Tonto being portrayed as white guy, or turning Batman into a black guy. If they want to add a character, fine, but don't change shit around just to appear politically correct. The story never intended M to b female, and as a writer, i would b pissed off if my characters were changed like that.

Casino Rayale was really Layer Cake 2 in my eyews. CR had no moneypenny, no gadgets, no oneliners, no karate chops to the back of the neck, and no cigarette smoking. He is a great strong fit man actor, but bring in Clive Owen and let the tall ones kick arse again. Not trying to make Bond fans cry, just seems a bit different . . . .

all that stuff was really campy though. it got to the point where the stories weren't very good, and the bond films were only there to show off new Q gadgets. the series needed to scale back to recover after the bronson years

Hear hear, totaly agree, the Brosnan era started off great with his first three films but then there was that mess called 'Die Another Day' and it just killed Brosnan Bond what with the Invisible car, Ice palace, and CGI waves lol. Daniel Craig reminds us all that James Bond is a cold bloodied man who lives to kill.....hes the best in my eyes.

Quantum of solace was based on a short story by ian fleming so the producer and the director

changed the short story around a little and made another bond success
