The United States didn't sign onto the ICC. That is how international law works. The country has to sign on according to its provisions in its government for deciding treaties/conventions. US didn't sign onto ICC so you can no put any of the US citizens into the ICC. That goes over a country's sovereignty. I am glad the US didn't support the ICC. Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court is not binding since US president didn't sign it and Senate ratify it. It is unbinding to US.

Take a good look at his face. You can see him turning white with fury. Man, I remember watching this. It made my skin crawl. It made me furious, It made me feel slightly ill. And it made me feel awe.
Even though Olbermann is, without a doubt, very opinionated and very liberal, this episode made me realize what an amazing orator he is. He is at his best as a political critic. I think he's going to be remembered as one of the most influential journalists ever.

We destroyed the wrong people, the administration was wrong. It still amazes me that people can turn blind eyes to this mess, and even applaud the administration that is responsible for this, a blind eye to what has been wrought with American hands. We are supposed to be free citizens, not subservient to rulers. We should be thinking through this mess for ourselves, not swallowing whatever our administration tells us. I admire Olbermann because he's one of the few members of the news media who were willing to put their careers and credibility on the line to challenge the Bush administration in the post-9/11 "Americans need to watch what they say" era. We have effective Constitutional Procedures for dealing with a criminally incompetent President... we can Impeach Him. This would have been an effective procedure for a President who lies the country into a war, for one who violates the law on secrecy, the 4th Amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure, and numerous other crimes. The United States didn't sign onto the ICC. That is how international law works. The country has to sign on according to its provisions in its government for deciding treaties/conventions. US didn't sign onto ICC so you can no put any of the US citizens into the ICC. That goes over a country's sovereignty. I am glad the US didn't support the ICC. Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court is not binding since US president didn't sign it and Senate ratify it. It is unbinding to US.
