Know this was back in 2009 but I wanted to watch some beginning Yogscast videos. When I saw that they tried Aion, I expected good things cause this was probably my favorite RPG PvP game. Watching the 3 parts I'm extremely disappointed at their comments. Aion was a thousand times better than Rift and all RPGs with a max level is a boring grind fest. The ending of the grind (just like Rift) is when the true fun begins.

@kariukarys PWI sucks fucking bad. Fly 3h, kill 10 mobs and then it takes 3 more h to fly back. The biggest fucking problem about it is the no max level, because new players cant catch up to the older players and engage in fair pvp.
I played this game up to level 15 a while back.. I do play wow and i didnt just play Aion with a negative mind set and I knew a few things would of been like wow so I didn't want to compared them at all. But seriously this is one shit game! Worst $90 I've spent, grind after grind and as you've seen in the videos it takes agers to kill any bastard thing! There should be a disclaimer with this game it's that bad.

If anything, I held back on the exaggeration. Play it for yourself and you'll see that it's slow, tedious, unexciting, awkward, unrewarding, frustrating and disappointing when compared to even the VANILLA version of world of warcraft.
Agreed. I got the pre-order and enjoyed it for a few days. By the time the game actually launched though I had got too bored to continue. To make things worse, you had to queue for 3 hours before the thrilling 20 levels or Krall killing.

1. Yes there's TONS of running and grinding but at LEAST WoW makes them entertaining and within minimum enjoyment parameters
2. You get a mount a lvl20, the higher up on 30 > Aion which is practically the same but the max i've counted for all the wings and upgrades are 2 MINUTES
WoW mounts > Aion Flying
3. Cabal is an example of non-stop action >_> Gunz in comparable

I think it was a bad comparisson with WoWs flying. I have not tried Aion yet but afaik you can attack and fight in the air. This puts PVP in a whole new perspective unlike WoW where PVP is in battlegrounds and flying only used to get away from PVP, to farm materials or do quests alot faster in TBC / WOTLK.
And in WoW they could take away flying and it would still be the same game.

If anything, I held back on the exaggeration. Play it for yourself and you'll see that it's slow, tedious, unexciting, awkward, unrewarding, frustrating and disappointing when compared to even the VANILLA version of world of warcraft.

Agreed. I got the pre-order and enjoyed it for a few days. By the time the game actually launched though I had got too bored to continue. To make things worse, you had to queue for 3 hours before the thrilling 20 levels or Krall killing.

1. Yes there's TONS of running and grinding but at LEAST WoW makes them entertaining and within minimum enjoyment parameters
2. You get a mount a lvl20, the higher up on 30 > Aion which is practically the same but the max i've counted for all the wings and upgrades are 2 MINUTES
WoW mounts > Aion Flying
3. Cabal is an example of non-stop action >_> Gunz in comparable

I think it was a bad comparisson with WoWs flying. I have not tried Aion yet but afaik you can attack and fight in the air. This puts PVP in a whole new perspective unlike WoW where PVP is in battlegrounds and flying only used to get away from PVP, to farm materials or do quests alot faster in TBC / WOTLK.
And in WoW they could take away flying and it would still be the same game.

you can fly for 45 sec and then theres gems to increase that time.
you will have to base your stats on the flying time.

When you fall of something really high all you had to do is just hit your fly button before you hit the ground and you wont die. You guys just played like idiots

You aren't suppose to fly and attack ground mobs, It's exploiting. And you don't need to go to the menu to learn how to fly.. ITS ON THE DAMN TIMER! Who wont look at it that out of pure curiosity? And timer takes so long to regen because you guys keep using the entire time limit. >> Beta doesn't give you Everything.. Beta is testing and to give people with keys an early look.
