@walid562 no it wasn't a factor of usa not being able to afford stadiums it came down to the fact that qatar is a new market that fifa can expand to. this was one of the reasons south africa was picked in 2010 also bribery may have allegedly been a factor. even though im a u.s citizen i really dont care that qatar was picked in the last couple of years they have really shown that they are capable of hosting such a big event.

A country where you can't even kiss in public without being put in prison. You can't show affection for your partner as the country frowns on passion. This is no place to hold a World Cup. I have no doubt the stadium will be remarkable feats of engineering but football, at its core, is about the love of the game and the passion people have for it.
The FIFA executives should be ashamed of themselves for ruining the game with their choices of host countries for the 2018 and 2022 world cup.

are lower then in western europe/Japan/korea/USA/oceania but the government works on that right now
they do have a problem with infrastructure; the roads outside the main regions are very poor and there is only one highway connection between the eropean and asian side so they could learn a thing or two from USA or Japan about that
