Let's be real here people this was not some nut going postal. This was a military assault by a sleeper agent in the U.S Army. I don't buy for a minute that Hansan acted alone. He had backing by some group or even state.
I had also heard that the Fort Hood residents were ordered to shut down all ventilation systems. Something dealing with airborne toxins maybe? That part of the story wasn't revealed.
I say don't kill him. At least, not yet. If it was just a random nutshell, or if his dealings with people who have gone insane overseas have made him go insane himself, then that's one thing. But what if there was more? Dead men tell no tales, and I wonder what stories he could tell.
What do they mean "suspect"? Why is the military calling him a suspect? I don't like the idea of a massive Islamist attack on our country, but I like the idea that the guy we have is only a "suspect", and that we don't know for sure, even less. So, please tell me he is more than a "suspect". Please.

In recent days there have been many gun owners killing people at Fort Hood, Orlando, and other places. It seems that we don't need foreign terrorists to kill innocent Americans. Time for gun control to keep these nuts out of our communities. If they want to tote guns, they should be enlisted in the Army or Marines and given plenty of opportunities to shoot our enemies.

I've heard the argument about disarming the law abiding citizens and embolding psychotics. I don't buy it. New York City has a manditory 2 year sentence for people carrying guns. Even the celebrities, like Plexico Burress is not immune from prosecution. NYC's crime rate with guns involved has gone down since the law was enacted. We need to get serious about people who carry guns, like we did with the Black Panthers in the 70s. We knew how to put them in their place, albeit illegally.
Violent crimes, such as murder and rape, have actually gone up in NYC. Maybe if people could defend themselves with guns those crime stats would decline. As for crimes with guns becoming less common well frankly I don't buy it. Everybody knows that criminals don't buy legal guns, the buy guns off the street.
Serious jail time is the deterent, whether guns are purchased legally or illegally.
Yes, criminals will find a way to get guns, but if they get caught carrying one, they go to jail, no exceptions. That will take some criminals off the streets & make our neighborhoods safer.
I believe the Constitution is meant for citizens to have home protection with guns, not carry them around, just looking for a reason to use them. Why can't we be a civilized nation and insist on protecting our citizens?

Do you know where the media gets their info? Oh sure they go to the scene or get a phone call and come up with 3 or 4 different versions of the story. A supposed eye-witness said that the lady cop didnt even shoot the shooter, that it was a black dude cop. First the shooter is dead then it turns out it was a mixup at the hospital

Well am an Iraqi that was in full support of the operation iraqi freedom and knew nothing about america before then, I lived with my family in iraq in kufa until I moved to study in egypt in the cairo university. Sadly your heroic soldiers forced there way into my families house in 2004 and accused my father of being an insurgent and murdered my little sister my big brother, my father and my mother, two of my uncles and three of cousins have died in bagdad, in the uk now, never been deployed.

In recent days there have been many gun owners killing people at Fort Hood, Orlando, and other places. It seems that we don't need foreign terrorists to kill innocent Americans. Time for gun control to keep these nuts out of our communities. If they want to tote guns, they should be enlisted in the Army or Marines and given plenty of opportunities to shoot our enemies.

I've heard the argument about disarming the law abiding citizens and embolding psychotics. I don't buy it. New York City has a manditory 2 year sentence for people carrying guns. Even the celebrities, like Plexico Burress is not immune from prosecution. NYC's crime rate with guns involved has gone down since the law was enacted. We need to get serious about people who carry guns, like we did with the Black Panthers in the 70s. We knew how to put them in their place, albeit illegally.

Yes, criminals will find a way to get guns, but if they get caught carrying one, they go to jail, no exceptions. That will take some criminals off the streets & make our neighborhoods safer.
I believe the Constitution is meant for citizens to have home protection with guns, not carry them around, just looking for a reason to use them. Why can't we be a civilized nation and insist on protecting our citizens?
