  • So which area of journalism do you think would be the best to go for, because I would like to be a journalist but apart from travel writing I have no preferred area

  • hhahahahh thumbs up friend *that will make no sense to you unless you watch

    the inbetweeners*

  • im in high school... going into grade 12 hoping to become an english teacher

  • hahaha thumbs up and the ending was really cute lol lol.

  • i think you would be really good at being a columnist, basicly what it is is what you do in your videos

  • i tottaly agree on the journalism thing :)

  • WOW.......

    THERE IS A SOUND

    REEAAAAAALLLYYY squeaky

"dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun"

    listen to it, it hurts!!!

  • Donnie Darko is an awesome movie. :D

  • Have you ever read the kite runner?

  • mark wahlberg? you look like him, ever get that?

  • i see it lmao he does!

  • ^^ I think he looks like Brian Harvey from East17! *gg*

  • lol he does

  • I loved the Catcher in the Rye. It's a real mind fuck... hope you like it man.

  • People appalled at the state of the country (and the world) don't vote in elections because they know it's a complete waste of time.

  • josie0286 is so right about your accent. You have a really nice voice.

I envision you stroking a 60" TV on QVC and charming all the viewers with your evil salesmanship skilz.

Stay well away from Bid TV coz they only sell crap... lol

  • so one reason i watch your videos is because i love your accent. also your right on with your opinion on print journalism. i'm a journalism student and changed my emphasize because of the hit it is taking.

  • mate, since you're reading The Catcher in the Rye have you seen the movie: Chapter 27?

  • Stubble really suits you but your eyebrows are too trim. Get that macho man look by throwing those tweezers away.

  • Haha! I get that all the time but I've NEVER touched them! Ew @ vanity :p

  • Donnie Darko = Amazing film!

I'm switching my major too. It's really frustrating when you realize you don't want to be what you're going for. Hopefully it works out for you.

  • 0:04, i'll screw you... anytime hun :)

  • I THINK YOU NEED TO GO SHAG A TREE!

  • <3 Your accent! I's so sexy :p And if you're not going into journalism, what do you want to do? I have to figure out what I'm doing with my life too. :/

  • Waynooo! Please don't become too pissed by some peoples reaction to your posting vlogs. They expect consistency and you need to not promise something that may be unrealistic to your own life needs. I look forward to your vlog but I also understand the time, effort and creativity it takes to produce a vlog let alone on a constant basis! Sometimes it just can't be done! Besides...one does have a life besides YouTube...LOL! Be well!

  • yeah n i agree w/ your c.n.t,rye comment. i still need t get round 2 readin it....

  • lol u said "slightly" xD

im a HS junior. life sucks. i guess that is like....uh sixth form? or something... =]

  • Comment removed

  • hoorah for keeping promises!!!

and ugh im starting up the whole applying to colleges ordeal now - not fun. Im planning to go into screenwriting.

And I hate how no one buys the newspapers anymore. Even the Boston Globe is going out! You're not american obviously, but if you were that would be a big deal.

And I swear its not just "what everyone says", Catcher in the Rye is probably in my top 20 favorite books of all time!

  • he's gorgeous isn't he

  • Okay, I'll trust you in the future ;D

Oh, and please tell us how you're liking the Catcher in the Rye. I've read it a year ago, and had a hard time getting used to the language for the first approximately 100 pages. In fact, there were moments in which I wanted to beat up the book, but it's an interesting introspective once one's gotten used to it, methinks. :)

  • lol your fun to watch.

Im majoring in pastries and baking, and im also going to do Cullinary too. i figure people are always gonna have to eat! :) pluse i enjoy it. (not that you care)

  • wow big nostrils!

  • Good video Wayne! Look forward to more from you.

  • Given up journalism and taken up facial hair...Hmmm....

One's an economically smart choice. The other a proudly rugged one. But put together, they crack my Waynooooo-loving heart in half. Aw, shucks.

  • Ha ha you did follow through! Aww, we miss you too! Well if you really want to know some useless information about me, I go to college in the US. Clackamas Community College in Oregon City and I plan to become a nurse practitioner. :) Question for you though, did you start saying "adios" because you were learning spanish?

  • It is nice of you to care about how everyone else is doing as far as education goes. I attend Webster University and I study photography in St. Louis, Missouri. There is a Webster campus in London, not sure if you live really close by there. I love photography and at one point hoped to work for a paper but I have much less faith in it now. I am thinking about going into cosmetology.

  • hummm, interesting, my cousin goes there too, not that u care lol but still, cool...

  • Um, of course I care. Webster is awesome.

  • I know what you mean about uni becoming a pain in the ass by the end of the year. I'm in my second year of an undergrad degree in English Language & Lit. and I'm dying right now. It's exam time and the studying is just killing me. I used to want to be a journalist as well, but I went off of it a bit. Now I'd like to either write for TV or go into PR I think.

  • welcome back sexy, love the scruffy-face look... your soooo hot & your voice is a plus. stick to journalism; your face NEEDS to be outthere... ;p

  • I love the accent =[

    It's addictive.

  • WAYNE! Welcome back!! idk about everyone else, but i definately miss your videos. i agree with you, i could never be a journalist, I'll leave that to the people who are deliriously happy to be involved in everyone's business. personally, I will stick to movies. Right not I'm applying to film school all over the US...not quite sure if i want to go into directing, producing, or screen writing...we'll see. ^_^

OH and I may do a study abroad in London so your videos are really coming in handy =]

  • you don't have to vote to be irritated at the state of the Nation!

    voting isn't everything :)

  • I'll cling to print media for as long as I can-I love having a newspaper or magazine in front of me, flipping through it and not folding it back correctly. :P The internet is a great source for news, though, especially since most online articles are followed by a commentary section, which is always good for a laugh.

  • What is that beeping sound that is killing my ears?

  • lol *shut up wayne*

hehe i do that all the time too!!

  • I'm reading Catcher in the Rye too!

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYNNNNNEEEE :D

  • Yay for new wayne video.

On my uni hols too, but I've not done any work yet :S but as a first year I feel its more justified. I'm studying chemistry if you want to know.

    I love Donnie Darko :)

  • Hello Wayne, it is good seeing you on line....welcome back...i hope

  • "Screw you all"? Yes, please. =D

And I really miss agroupoffriends too. You guys are awesome. I'm still subscribed to a few though - you, Jared, Nick, Shawna, Mike and Katrina.

  • It's hard not to look at yourself constantly when you look like you. Fucker.

    Welcome back. :)

  • Donnie Darko is amazing!!! I ended getting two copies of the directors cut. One to watch and one to never open.. lol.. I'm glad you're back though.. I was missing the accent like crazy.. lol

  • Glad you're back making vids again, with or without the over-use of thumbs up - although, at one point (3:08 ish) you looked a little like Wallace from Wallace & Gromit, and then you said 'cheesy' which was so appropriate and made me laugh! ;-)

  • wayne, wayne,

    he's not too plain,

he's much cooler than acid rain,

he reads lots o' books like mark twain,

all of his videos are sure to entertain!

    yay wayne! :D

i was going to add a bit in there about riding a train and how you would complain... but i decided to let you off this time. :]

  • Are you enjoying catcher in the rye? I've been debating reading it just because I thought it would probably be overrated like you said..

  • i read catcher in the rye for the same reason, but i would say that its quite an enjoyable read :)

  • you're fun wayne.

  • thums up@ more regular blogs :)

I'm currently in my 4th year of uni, one more year of internship and six classes and I can call myself a psychologist :)

Good luck with uni! Loving the scruffy beard :P

  • i SO thought that catcher in the rye was gonna be overrated, but i read it and it's now one of my fave books! i hope you love it too!

  • Ohhh I hope so, I'm getting mixed reviews!

  • HAhah That's exactly what I'm doing, reading Catcher in t he Rye because it's famous.

I haven't started yet though. but on my nightstand all ready!

  • I'm a nightmare for reading books just because they are famous :p

  • Well done for having the courage to make bold decisions about your future.

I read Catcher in the Rye at secondary school and hated it / didn't know what all the fuss was about.

  • Donnie Darko is definitely one of the best of all time! Good choice!

  • donnie darko has got to be the most intresting movie i've ever seen

"why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"

    love it

    luv ya

  • I love everything about all of your videos!! seriously! they make my day :) Good work!

  • I have a quick question about the U.K. I've tried to find this answer online and have had a hard time with it. What are popular U.K. bands. For instance, who would be your Garth Brooks or Brittany Spears. I'm talking about recent music. Reason I ask is cause I love alot of British bands, The Beatles, Pink Floyd etc so I wouldn't want to miss out on hearing some of your recent music. Any suggestions?

  • Yeah like kabobbleUK said, some of our music comes from the US but then we have a big UK music scene too that kind of mingles with it.

Take That and Girls Aloud are our biggest bands. Then there are artists like Snow Patrol, James Morrision, Lily Allen, Mcfly, Duffy, The Script, The Saturdays, White Lies.

If you want my advice, just check our our official charts frequently and you'll see who is popular here. Go to google and search for 'official uk radio 1 chart' and you'll find it :)

  • dont stop doing the thumbs up lol i <3 it :]

  • What is with everyone making videos every day in April? I refuse to follow the trend, but I just may make one tomorrow.

  • Lol! I love that you got a thumbs down :p How fickle people are. I know, the every day in april blogs AND videos are really annoying but whatever floats your boat I guess?

  • The thing with Cather in the Rye, for me, is not the story but the prose. It is so easy to read and understand. Truely well written.

  • i actually just strted school again since spring vacation. so i think they landed on the same week this yr.

  • AND YOU POSTED A NEW VID! yey! i knew you would hahahaha

  • I know people hype up catcher in the rye but it is one of my favorite books maybe BreakingPrufrockian is right you can only really appreciate it as a teen but i am a teen so maybe thats why i like it so much. But really its the only book i feel like i could read over and over and not get bored so let us know what u think of it when your done! i'm curious to know your opinion on it

  • I read Catcher in the Rye in english class my sophmore year of High School. I enjoyed it, but i've read much better books, including in High School. What is funny is Catcher in the Rye is sometimes on list of proposed banned books by parents groups here in the US because of its 'content.'

  • i hated catcher in the rye. and i love donnie darko, although i still don't understand it. yay for new friends! and you were in a collab channel?

  • Donnie Darko is aweesssommme!

Yeah I was inagroupoffriends for a while. It was fun.

Friends obv rock :p Message me on here (or twitter) if you use msn/aim. We'll totally talk yo'

  • Woo! Another vlog!

I don't read much (a shame, I know), but I did read Catcher in the Rye and I quite liked it.

School: I went to university for 1.5 semesters doing business, so I could get that degree before pursuing fashion design; however, I started to hate all of my courses, so I stopped. Now, I'm taking this semester off and plan on doing a 2-year textiles program in September to prepare myself for the fashion design program at Ryerson University, which is where I hope to attend in 2011!

  • Hi Wayne!! Glad to see that you are making videos again.

I'm currently a junior in college and a Broadcast Journalism major. It saddens me that you have decided to stop pursuing journalism. I loved hearing you talk about your classes. Have you decided on another major? I have found that journalism is really really stressful, but still a lot of fun. I think it suits me. Though I know as soon as I graduate it's going to be so daunting finding a job. I am hoping on getting an internship ASAP.

  • You kept your promise! Thanks for personally responding yesterday. I am deeply honored. You are one of my favorites and when you fail to post I feel my life energies failing. Youre right in pursuing Online Journalism. Printed media is on the way out, even though youre forever reading real printed material. Do you have any specific field of journalism you are drawn to; World Affairs, the Economy, General News, etc.? Well Adios mi amigo!

  • knew u would post one today,

and it was a good one!

*im a 2nd yr univeristy for History

    **never read the Rye book

    as always, good video!

  • Nice to see you again! =]

Did you have a nice Easter? Do you do the whole candy-in-a-basket thing like we do in the US? I assume you probably don't now that you're older, but did you?

And I don't know if anyone has ever told you this but you look kind of like a younger, less-blonde dominic monaghan. Well, to me anyway. xD

  • haha x

  • I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with Catcher in the Rye; I mean it's good, but it's the type of book where you can only really appreciate it at a certain age - as a teenager. but Nine Stories is SO much better. Seriously.

  • Can a writer find a voice-

So much Media So much Choice-

    Your audience will not engage-

Or spend the time to read the page-

The Terms they use I can not find-

Urban-Dictionary I have lost my mind-

    Wikipedia allows for change-

    My knowledge base they rearrange-

    Modern Authors bravest by far-

I'm just not sure who you are- :)

  • yay

  • When is your last day of classes?

  • Catcher in the Rye isn't overrated you cynical man.

You were watching Donnie Darko again? Again?

And Buffy is getting good, she's scared off Spike two times already now which I don't quite understand.

  • wheeeeeee!

  • Good to see ya. again, again...lol

  • AH! PROVED ME WRONG lol

  • third?

  • These guys are retards
