Why do people call Lynyrd Skynyrd Allman Brothers wannabes? They're hugely different bands. The only real relation between them is that Gary Rossington's slide guitar was inspired by Duane Allman. Since they're both from the south, they're automatically both Southern rock, despite being so different. Lynyrd Skynyrd are a rock band, the ABB is basically a blues band, and even that's serious generalisation... I saw a review for At Fillmore East calling the ABB a better Skynyrd... What a joke...
