@Ryctohaze94 crazy right? It's strange how you never think of this possibility until you rewatch the scene. It seems as if Kidman's character is confronting Bill about his infidelity. However how could she have known that the mask wasn't just a party mask unless she was a participant? We see Sandor Szavost accost Kidman at the party, we dont see his invitation to the mansion. The mask is a provocation for Bill to open his eyes and see that marriage is a prison invented by the upper class.

I adore Stanley Kubrick - one of my all time favorite directors. Eyes Wide Shut was impressive movie with all these natural scenes, amazing acting (especially Nicole Kidman - supertalent), suspense, thrill...

Kubrick´s Eyes Wide Shut is really an expose of the "Elites" and their MK-Ultra mind control powers. The party scene, for example, is actually about Kidman and other women being psychologically "screwed with". The shots of "illuminated" star symbols in the background surrounding Kidman's head are all mind control iconography. A misunderstood but brilliant masterpiece nonetheless. Kubrick was murdered for this film. WOOOORD!
