I find due to the relatively low quality of the locomotives included compared to the non railroad products the track must be very very clean for them to run at slow speed, the fact they are part of a set makes it practically worthless to complain about a wonky axle that causes bumping around and just after I was bought the set Hornby, without said reason, changed the 'jinty' locomotive to a different loco that hadn't appeared before in the railroad range or otherwise, which lightly worries me.
08 slipping with only 4 wagons. absolute crap.

@NapoleonsTriumph - I would certainly recommend it - the Class 08 is a very usefull little engine, even as your layout grows.

The squeaking noise is the latch used to hold the door open blowing free in the wind outside, it wasn't coming from the trains!
