ok. FIRST of all. more than half of these pictures are from the other freshwater records that came out more than a year ago on youtube. and the gar pike at the end is nothing. I've caught a gar bigger than the puny one that guys holding. Im not talking aligator gar either. Gar pike can get much bigger than 40 in. prolly up to around 50 in michigan since winters suck.

@geoff9905 There are 4 different types of "GAR" not gar pike. You are right an alligator gar is the largest purely freshwater fish in North America. They can be 300 plus pounds. The alligator gar this guy has is probably about 3 months old. It's a baby. I can tell it's a "gator gar" by the fishes mouth. I live down in East Texas were these damn things grow to be more than man sized.
