  • Emmylou Harris was supposed to play the part that Amy Irving played in the film, but when it was time to film Emmylou was pregnant with her daughter Meagan.

  • My cousin always wanted to be a movie star. He made it at 1:25 clapping his hands over his head. I was at this San Antonio concert also. The concert was free and was great the hardest thing was shouting for "Buck" which was the name of Willie's character. A good time was had by all. It was a pretty wasted night. I hung out with Slim Pickens after the show and he was cool as could be.

  • @haanashim.....I'm 73 ...You must be at least 100 yrs older than me ....I still suck up "Willie" like mother's milk ....Sit here sipping and grinning ...Life is good .

  • The guy with the harmonika, still playing with Willie...

  • Great movie.

  • I think I'm beginning to tire of Willie. His most creative years are behind him and he just seems to do covers that put any and all material through the same lens.

  • Well he has some years on him now.......if he had a 'normal' job he had be retired fore over 10 years atleast now. No Willie is awesome, we have alot 2 thank him fore

  • gotta remember ...willie, waylon, etc. were the OUTLAWS..emmy lou and gram parsons, too..that's why they were different and remain so...not your run of the mill country crap

  • willie is one of those rare singers that can take other peoples songs and make them his own love willie

  • @MrYamsky

His ability to sing different styles is unique.

Best example is his version of 'Stardust' which he handles with ease and delivers on one of the most difficult and haunting songs ever written.

  • I love this whole album. One of the greatest things Willie ever did.

  • Emmy Lou, you can leave the hat on......

  • the best version for me, is of "This Mortal Coil"

  • One of the best perfomances made by willie and em just puts icing on the cake

  • Emmylou in a hat. Rodney can really write a song. It is interesting when a song writer pens his greatest work when he is still young. This is not to say that he has not written some beautiful stuff since. But I am willing to bet that this tune and and "Song for the Life" are his most recorded even though "Stars on the Water" and "Shame on the Moon" may be his biggest sellers. Emmy and Willie really can do this song.

  • great job willie but wish the sound was louder ...........)

  • Sydney Pollack was actually the executive producer-

    directed by Jerry Schtatzberg...

  • No way thats crazy loved the sydney rip

  • "I Love You Willie Nelson",...."Don't Ever Change A Thing!"

  • Emmylou, my Muse, my Goddess, my only Queen of the CountryM

  • Willy and Emmy Lou--one of the most beautiful sounds in the world of music.

A great movie, jam packed with great musical performances just like this one. Willy never sounded better, Dyan Cannon never looked better, and directed by Sydney Pollock.

You can't beat a combination like that!

  • i remember this movie when i was in my teens. Dyan Cannon was my total idol. She was so gorgeous and sexy and at ease with herself.

  • Willie, I think god gave me a broken wing, "Angel's Fly-in to close to the ground" (;-)

  • great movie great song

  • love this movie

  • Wonderful!

  • Anyone able to post Emmylou and Willie singing, " Angel Eyes" from the movie?

  • Willie and Family should remind us all of what it was like when people took pride in playing Country Music from the heart. I dont think it exists anymore.

Even my favorite country artists cant do it like Willie did.

    Good vid.

  • Its because country music is denegraded with crap like "honkytonk badonkadonk" and all the other crap "country" singers write these days.

  • @Tabla461 LOL I totally agree.

  • what a performer ,he:s a show on his own and emmylou is wonderful ..two for price of one ,what more could we ask for ......

  • i luv my grandpa

  • Thanks so much for posting this! Was getting scared to play this song too much more on vhs-afraid it would wear out & I'd never be able to find this version again. LOVE IT!!!-& WILLIE ALWAYS!!! Thanks Again!

  • Thanks so much for posting this!! I've been worried about wearing out the only VHS tape I have of this!! And now it's on DVD??? Thanks Again!

  • Two favourite singers and one favourite song. What more can I ask? Thank you

  • ... so they released it on DVD at last !!! i ran and ... crawl :) after a good VHS of it ... finally got it , then , found ONLY a very rare expensive copy of the double soundtrack LP , just before they decided to make it , for the first time , ON CD !!! ( of course ) ... Cruuuel life !!!
