And do you use your DS-2 for the chorus, or is it clean? Which settings? And for the solo, which settings do you have on your DS-2?

the delay pedal is set so that if you play on the 1 you will hear 6 notes per chord that flea plays. like a half time triplet. i have the wah pedal toe down for the verses and chorus' but ds2 set on max for the solo

Everyone comparing him to fdser, they're both good, but geraci is better- watch his stuff w/ Melody Felony, covers and orignals to see that he has serious chops as well as killer tone. Imo, fdser's tone is usually bad. Maybe it's the way he records that makes it not as good as geraci's, I don't know, but you can tell that geraci is a ton better.

i don't know if he learned it from tabs or ear. But if he did do it by ear, I think it's right because from what I understand there's no RIGHT or WRONG way to play a cover. It's your interpretation of how the song sounds in your ear. Also, tabs are mainly from people playing it by ear too, so also their interpertation.

great cover, but for all these people amazed by his effects, his delay is set to a dotted quarter note. Its really not an uncommon delay setting, John just doesnt use it much.
