I used the entire opening except the guest character part and used a clip of Ryu. The audio is from the GameCube version because the sound effect fits the Ryu clip.

Believe it or not, Hayabusa was supposed to be Xbox's guest character. But since Namco and Tecmo are rival companies, it didn't happen and Spawn was the replacement.

Soul Calibur II was the weakest SC. It brought in a grip of casual gamers by sacrificing the hardcore elements that made it hardcore. Thankfully SCIII and SCIV have improved since then.

SC2 was the last haven of maintaining the true core mechanics of the SC series. SC3 and SC4, while decent games, turned the franchise into a watered down remnant of its predecessors catered to "Joe Everyman" and castrating hardcore SC players and those of us who actually play professionally.

The best? Soul Calibur. The weakest? Without question SC3, the beginning of a downward spiral that SC4 made worse. Good, but not SC1&2 good.

Soul Calibur ONE was the best because it was perfectly balanced. Soul Calibur II was a disappointment. The gameplay was tinkered with way too much by then. and it was too short with minimal unlockables. Honestly Soul Edge (ps10 is the best in terms of content. SCIII may have had gameplay flaws but it was more massive with extra content and the button pressing cinemas came back from Edge.SCIV is completely flawed I admit.I played one hundred more games online and they fucked up

Namco has good ideas, but they don't supersize on them. A different guest character depending on the system. That's amazing. Heiachi? Yoda? Ryu Hayabusa...that's where its at, and Ayane would be a hot addition.

So, if you count Yoda and Darth Vader, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions would have 3 guest characters each.

No, the Ryu from Street Fighter has a white, sleeveless karate gi, red fighting gloves and head band, black belt, and brown hair, and uses a hand-to-hand combat martial art called Ansatsuken. This one is Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden.

Same guy. He was in the Ninja Gaiden NES trilogy first then Dead or Alive. The newer Ninja Gaiden is set in the same continuity as Dead or Alive.

No. Heihachi and Spawn's stories had them go back in time and Link's had him go to another world. Ryu's could combine the two.

Awesome video. Hayabusa would TOTALLY fit, but, I don't think they'd allow him to use all the weapons. Since his main was Dragon sword, they may let him use it, and just have the first 4, true, and a soul calibur version. Or, if they try to use it in order to connect with Ninja Gaiden II's release date (in 2008 also), they could use his scythe and/or claw styles, or his twin sword style.

Weapons will be: Dragon sword, mk sabre, kitsesu. The Soul edge sword will be Dark Dragon Blade, and Soul Calibur sword will be True Dragon Sword. The special sword, will be the wooden sword.

Special moves will be Izuna drop with the sword! Smoke bomb, Shuriken and bow n arrow.

Power attack will be: Dragon Sword Ultimate technique lvl 2.

Its really inventive, the bastard at NAMCO should really think about introducing guest characters again into SC. Its a shame Ninja Gaiden came out after SCII then he could have replaced Spawn.

Thanks. One of the main complaints about Spawn was that he doesn't fit the timeline or series. Ryu, a ninja, does and the idea of an evil sword that transforms the wielder into a demon and a rival sword is used in Ninja Gaiden.

I know this was from a topic from a long time ago but I still fail to see how that could be a problem about Spawn. He had an on going series called Dark Ages spawn. He was clad in armor and had a different costume. He even wielded swords and axes. I used to own the toys. My gripe about Spawn is that he did not feature this costume, thus, making him look somewhat out of place. Elsewise, he's seen this era before or one like it.

The main problem with Spawn being in it is that he has nothing to do with the Xbox. All of Team Ninja's games from DOA3 to DOAU were Xbox exclusives. Ryu is closer to Xbox than Spawn. Also, there's meant to be a second Spawn film coming out as well as a Soul Calibur film.

You guys must not pay much attention, first off Ryu hayabusa is a Tecmo character which leads to all types of copyright and publishing rights between Namco and Tecmo, also the reason why Spawn was in the game was because Namco was releasing a Spawn game for Xbox. Thus they put Spawn in the game...no disrespect but pay more attention...PS nice vid
