  • Hey from 161 c.k. beveridge Saint John, NB

  • XD I'm a RCAC.

  • @matthewsnicholas123 Nice lol What unit?

  • @BothtaweeKelly You mean my squadron? I'm 876 Lincoln Alexander, I'm from Ontario. :)

  • @matthewsnicholas123 742 National Capital, Ottawa :)

  • @BothtaweeKelly Cool, what's it like there? This Saturday our sqdn went to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. ;)

  • @matthewsnicholas123 Good I guess :P Enough to keep us occupied. lol

  • @BothtaweeKelly I guess we might also see each other at summer camp, if your sqdn goes to Trenton. XD

  • @matthewsnicholas123 lol likely not. I am making an early retirment at the begining of June or at the end of May. I age out this November. Don't wuite see any reason to stay the 3 months after the summer. :/

  • @BothtaweeKelly Oh, ok... are you going to be a pilot?

  • thumbs at the girl whos guarding with C7!

  • @goldendude1994 I guess it is a C7 with a carrying handle instead of a optical scope. I was wondering if it was a M16 lol. But ya, I think all the cadets were laughing. It's my friends picture so I don't know her name :P

  • Wow you found the 707 shoulder flash. About a year ago they combined with 700 Squadron which Im not sure is there.

  • @709division That was actually in the RCAF Museum in Trenton I believe

  • I am interested

  • @canad1anbadass

    Good day Canad1anbadass,

Usually, air cadets fly 4 times a year, which is the minimum unofficially. 2 of those times are in gliders and the other to are in propeller aircraft. Some squadrons, if they have the money, will fly even more that 4 times and some squadrons will even arrange rides in military Griffon Helicopters (those who do don't always). In basic training, you will be able to see and maybe even sit in a CF-18 fighter jet.

  • @BothtaweeKelly Bust that is only if your basic traing is on an air force base (typicly in Bagotville or Cold Lake). Also, if your camp is on a fighter jet base and you become top cadet in basic training, you are rewarded with a ride in a C F 18 which involves a simulated dogfight with another CF-18 (to my understanding) and then after you go fly over the coast to go whale watching. But you must be between 120 - 250 pounds and I think the minimum hight is 5"6". Otherwise, you ride in a griffon.

  • @BothtaweeKelly Of coruse, you will have to have an actual fighter pilot with you in the cockpit. he does most of the flying but at some points, he will let you fly a bit with their help. Other camps will only give you the Medal of Merit for being the top cadet. In your home squadrons, you will fly in Cessna's and maybe even a Beachcraft.

Should you have any other questions, please feel free to message me or contact your local air cadet Squadron.

    -Flight Sergeant Kelly

  • @canad1anbadass but you will be lucky to fly once every few years.

  • How often do air cadets get to fly

  • i am FLT/CPL Proctor and i am a proud air cadet

  • fcpl colbourne of 644 camrose cougars and loving it <3 where all them albertans at???

  • @lolzingawayhere Their is an albertan air cadet in my squadron now :P well, I should say "Ex-Albertan" XP

  • @FourthWallAirsoft If you are refering to the past on when cadets were used to train teenagers to go into WW2, the goal has since changed. Now, air cadets are now being trained to get their pilot license. Of course, not all get their license because they didn't join for it or they didn't make it into the course (that training is in the summer). Sea cadets can get their sailing license and I'm not sure what army cadets goal's are but all have fitness, leadership and other goals in common.

  • @BothtaweeKelly So you really don't have a right to criticize cadets if you don't know anything or to much about it. And even though there are no laws on the internet, you should never say negative things about anyone or anything. I don't expect you to like it, but I do expect you to cease negative comments otherwise you will be blocked. An apologie would be nice to but I'm not to worried about that right now.

  • @BothtaweeKelly I have been in cadets for many years and have been around and when you talk to military or even people who have been in cadets there ashamed that we call are selves cadets...farther more cadets is weak, undisciplined, unfit and today promotions, medals and many other things dont mean SHIT!!!!

  • @FourthWallAirsoft well u can say wat u want but u you shouldn't say that stuff to people who are in cadets (let alone those who enjoy it) so unfortunatly, I am going to have to kick you off my videos.

  • @BothtaweeKelly so on internet you espacially should keep to yourself.

  • I don't care about the uniform, but I care about my size 15 boots.

I hope my squadron lets me keep them (they are the old, nice boots. Not the moon boots).

In Ridley cadets since age 11.

In Air cadets since age 15.

FCpl. Fazzari. 79th Lynton Davies Squadron, Ontario, Canada.

  • What squadron is it in 3:32?! (btw 51 is the best)

  • @MotherEarth2010 I don't know, but I am guessing 2 places: Where the Governor General Foot Guards meet in Ottawa (Redeau Hall?) or at Holland Armory around the Gatineau area. I think that's what the armory is called. That seems like the most likely place out of the 2.

  • Peace River 124 Air cadet squadron all the way!!

  • 0:17 BAGOTVILLE!!!!!!

  • @Shinymaster10 Yep. I've been there for basic and leadership.

  • 395 griffon squadron Edmonton Alberta. Flight corporal.

A flight corporal with his wings.. Lucky man. I'm trying to get my wings by flight sergeant but I'm not too sure if I will. I have already done ATC camp but well c

  • @chillininthecrib Just remember like I said to the other guy, those are RCAF wings. I got the cadet wings over the internet.

  • 136 Kiowa Squadron Ayr Ontario - WO1. Glad I was able to be a part of the program. Some of the best times I ever had were during summer training.

  • 1:10 how does that person have their wings it makes no sence they are only lvl 2

  • @ArrowSmith95 That's actually my tunic. They were not sewed on. I have the cadet ones (I brought them over the internet) but those are not the cadet ones. Those are the Royal Canadian Air Force ones. so technically, that slide is actually a bit wrong because the wings are wrong (because of the kind and the level)

P.S. I am a Sgt. now. That was an old picture from last year.

  • @BothtaweeKelly lol ok just realy wondering how a leavel 2 hade wings .

its all good . im going for my glider wings next year hopefuly.

    Cadets...cadets is my life!

  • air cadets rules, F/sgt schuurman 644 cougar squadron

  • Congrats on your accomplishments but I wish we lived in a world where warfare was a thing of the past.

  • The good news is, The Royal Canadian Air, Sea and army cadets (all form the Royal Canadian League) are not members of the military. Therefore, cadets don't go to war and don't go straight into the military after they turn 18 or 19. That's the biggest mistake many people don't know about. I can understand why. But if only the war in the middle east would stop. Canada is pulling out of Afghanistan in 2011, but the war will still be on.

  • And in Iraq, I wonder what the future will be for it.

  • @BothtaweeKelly

    I'm relieved to hear that.

It's a good life experience though!
