AN IDEAL STRONGEST FORM OF DEMOCRACY INCLUDED (See Subchapter 3.1.2.1, Chapter 3, of Part One.).
my lolo was one of the soldiers who survived the DEATH MARCH. He volunteered as a cook to escape from Japs tortures. At night when the japs are asleep, he will give food to those who are inside the prison.they would carry their co-soldiers to save them from Japaneses bayoneta. These are the untold stories that our books and teachers doesnt know. my lolo is now 93 years old. His name was placed at Bataan. JUAN L. MONREAL- HERO Death March
ah this bring back the old BRAVE LOYAL KIND PILIPINO SOLDIER but now if you could see wat happened to the soldiers this days they risk there lives just for 2,000 12,000 or 20,000 pesos and thats not enough also there families has no hause and the officials became corrupt that coruption cause the philippine army to be 1 of the weakest army in asean
Check out the book MY COUSIN KILLED HITLER, based on the story of Marshal Zhukov. It tells a family secret about him. If only Hitler knew that one of those he hunted became the hunter instead.
i even thought that tarlac was the last station of the death march. how many were died during the march, why only around 500 pow were rescued in the prison camp?
@dmdjm Because there were only 500 left... The majority died because of the harsh conditions. If you want to read a really good book (and the truth about the rescue and the Bataan Death March), read Raider. That was a damned good book.
I would like to see a doco made about the KIWI troops that fought in the Pacific war as their service seems to have been largely forgotten these days. My Great uncle fought the Japs in the Solomons and ended up in Japan as part of J Force while his brother my Grandfather flew in bombers with 75(NZ)sqd bomber command RAF. They don't seem to get the reconnition that they deserve.
All resistance groups during WW2 should have our respect, because they risked their lives without having the resources accorded to regular troops, and would often provide valuable and accurate intelligence to liberating forces, wherever in the world they were. When we remember the fallen we should remember the contributions of all irregulars, particularly during WW2.
My grandfather was a veteran and survivor of the death march. right now he is 94years old. I am very thankful of the Americans and Filipinos who liberated them. If it weren't for them, my grand father and his fellow marchers wouldn't have survived and i wouldn't be here. Maraming Salamat. God Bless America and God Bless The Philippines
"..they stack 'em up like cardboard" ~ Robert Andersen on Pajota's men against the Japanese. Thank you sir for giving us a window to see our soldiers' show of heroism!
I have some japanese friends, so its not nice to generalize, if you will stigmatize all the japanese for their ww2 crimes, then why not stigmatize the americans for their atrocities in massacres of filipino civilians during the colonial period after the spanish rule.
your grandfather's battle is not yours battle to inherit.
wonder if there are still Hukbalahap veterans were still alive today... I wanna see a movie on a Hollywood produced series about the Phillipines back in World War 2.
"The Great Raid" starring James Franco and Cesar Montano isn't that good enough to hit the blockbuster... and only few Filipinos know about the movie too.... :p
i learn in our subject Phil history that Japanese is also addicted in rape, and that's why the fellow Koreans hated them, because they raped there queen. . .i don't know if it is correct but for me. . it is possible, how horrible the Japanese are.
@freakyfreaks01 because they practice samurai culture as their way of regimen that's why they were so brutal, but on fist to fist combat their no match against Filipinos they were so weak unlike Filipinos whose born as a tough as nails.Filipino all the way fuck those japanese apes!

well to what I said earlier, if I offended anyone in what I said, I apologize, just maybe cuz I'm chinese and what they did to my country in WW2 really bites me, but that was 65 years ago, things change, they ain't evil anymore, Japs are just like you and me :)
Man, why did WW2 have to happen, especially with the japs. They were probably the cruelest army ever, and scarred many people's lives, And after watching this vid, I kinda wished that the US with just nuke japan instead of just 2 atomic bombs
The Japs treated their Prisoners like SHIT! In he WW2 DK Eyewitness book by Simon Adams,it had a picture of Dutch prisoners ina Japanese POW camp. They were malnourished, and skinny, just like the POW's stated in this documentary. The Japanese POW's worked to death just working on the Burma Railroad. They had to improvise their things, not buy them. WE WILL AVENGE THE JAPANESE!
