What i dont understand people is that even though they talk about universal brotherhood it's ok to use the two titles Iranian and persian interchangably and it's ok, but if any other title apart persian or iranian is used then all of a sudden that person making the comment is ignorant or whatever. I smell some real hypocracy out there. Iranian Kurdish, Persian all the same if non-hypocrites agree?
we are all Iranians ! Kurds are a member of the iranian family dont make this about orgin his orgin is IRAN and hi is a great kurd Iranian artist Long live One united arian nation of ARIAN
Blame it to ignorance of a few. Iran is a culturally diverse country combined of nations such as Kurds, Lors, Persian, Turks, Turkmen, Arabs etc, each with their own specific culture while sharing it all when comes to their nationality. Until recent years, while there have been some disagreements among people of different tribe in relation to their identity, there has never been a serious problem when it comes to unity and security of their country. They are all IRANIAN.
you said:"((Iran is a culturally diverse country combined of nations such as Kurds, Lors, Persian, Turks, Turkmen, Arabs etc))" ARABS??? never never & never iranian nationality does not include arabian nationality!!!
One of the best of Iranian Music. It is not important which ethnicity he has, Kord, Lor, Fars, Azari, Balooch.... He is belong to 70 million people who understand and praise his exciting (Shoor Angiz) performance and consider him as one of their outstanding national artists.
Dear friends (Persians and Non-Persian alike).. As fans of Shahram Nazeri, it should be our duty to not only understand what he is singing about, but feel and act upon the message.. and that's 'LOVE' in its truest form. Listen to the lyrics and words of the great mystical master 'Rumi'. He is talking about global unity, love and elevation to a higher level of consciousness. Feed patriotic pride, is against love for all beings
great video. i've seen ostad nazeri twice in concert and can't wait for the next concert.
xhwerami persians and kurds are two different ethnic groups, but both fall under the nationality of being iranian (as far as the iranian kurds go). just thought i'd calrify.
why do these losers keep saying " hes a great KURDISH performer/singer"? wf people? last time i checked almost 90% percent of his songs are sung in FARSI... its like saying "Dariush is the best TEHRANIAN singer" does that make sense to you? idiots
still doesn't change the fact he's Kurdish by blood. But anyway that's not the point, people like you (Persian nationalists) and also nationalist Kurds who claim to like Nazeri's work, none of you have any clue about the message of his music. Universal brotherhood and love, such as the message of Rumi's poems. And by the way it's Parsi not Farsi, Arabs introduced the F because they don't have P in their alphabet.
Even though they live in present day turkey, or present day Iraq, which was part of the great Medes and Achamenedian empire, they are of Iranian heritage, namely Kurds. We all speak Kurdi, which is an important branch of Iranian languages. We are all Iranian, which includes Persian, Azarbaijanis, baluch, Guilak, Mazandarani, Taleshi, etc, etc. Long live all Iranians.
If you focus on analyzing the music, you will disconnect yourself from it and thus cease to really experience it for what it is. Let it instead engulf you like a wave and carry you into its ocean.
To me, by the way, this is beautiful... Some very talented souls here... It's in a fast 5, very challenging to play, as simply as it begins. I wish I could understand Iranian. =)
To think that Hafez is trying to make traditional Persian music "better" is a mistake. This new phenomenon is HIS interpretation. One does not HAVE to like it, but Hafez should be respected and applauded for his revolutionary creation. It's a shame that he is receiving so much criticism, but I'm not surprised since it is the typical Iranian response to criticize anyone, and anything regardless of how nonsensical and dellusional they may appear.
My friend it's only normal that some will criticise, it is part of the evolutionary process of culture and music. Most people from our region are stuck in the past and they wish not to embrace the future. Shahram and Hafez are making something beautiful and introducing Iranian music and Rumi's magic to the world, and some people just can't accept that.
It doesn't matter whether it's "Talfighi" or whatever you wanna call it, but it does matter if it's worth to watch and we can see it really really DOES (amazingly done).
a singer of old persian tradition needs an old persian traditional prestige. He also needs to be aware of his ability performance due to the strenuous comlexity of Radifs. Mr Nazeri has unfortunately diverted from the pristine kernal of such respect and is presenting an unknown form of this track lately.
Western Classical Music+Persian Classical Music= Ghormesabzi Pizza, and I understand some people really enjoy Ghormesabzi Pizza like you...but Ghormesabzi Pizza can never get better that Pizza or Ghormesabzi by itself. GOT IT?
i dont understand why some people dont want to accept stuff...i mean just listen to this song i cant believe somebody dislike it(that just my idea...)i love the original "ghormesabzi" so much...but why cant we develop it...its good but lest make it better...
I totally agree with you that we should try hard to "make this music better". But the question is: Does combining Persian Classical Music with some other music necessarily make it better? I think this kinda combining, or as Hafez Nazeri LOVES to put it, "post-classical" Persian music, will eventually help others (especially foreigners) to communicate with this music better, BUT for the "better" part...I'm clueless!
