I like the melody and words to this song. I remember the movie A Long Kiss Goodnight, when Geena Davis and Samuel Jackson was in the car and this song was playing. Back in 1977 I was working as a ticket agent for an airline when their

band came to town. Naturally we lost some of their luggage and while

filing a lost baggage claim one of the band members ask me if I was

going to the show, when I told him I was not, he gave me 2 backstage

passes. It was a great show, they were all very nice, and after the show

we went out to eat, talked awhile and said goodbye at the hotel cafe!

No alcohol, no drugs, no hanky panky...no lie! Very nice gentlemen! (:-)

It does sound like he is saying "out" and some have posted lyrics to that affect. Seals was actually saying the stars were all around. "And the stars are 'round" He was referring to the starry canapé often only seen in the rural night sky. He really illustrated that setting quite well. May Seals rest in peace.

A "warm wind blowing the stars around" makes absolutely no sense (unless you're on psychedelics). The correct lyric/phrase (with punctuation) is "There's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out, and I'd really love to see you tonight". It just sounds like "around" because he sings "are out" very quickly.We played/sang the hell out of this when it first came out.
