  • @matt180497

yep they should make a new big fat boombox, only for cassettes hrhr

  • @jemiedub has to have a mp3 jack so you can put your mp3 in the box and play it loud, also needs to play cds, needs mixers, bass, treble, everything

  • "Get fresh batteries if it won't rewind.."

  • I love old rap songs, there were that passion which most artists don't how nowadays

  • my grannie says - she can't live without my radiogram.lol.

  • I Can't Live Without My iPod Touch.

  • @ChrisMilton1234 if you were on a gaga video, bring up an ipod touch. on a LL Coolo J song, talk about kangols ,addidas,, remember its 1985 not 2011 in the song, fuck your ipod touch, fuck you new gen kids, we rock the old school, something you could never do. cassette what is that, errr a LP huh what's wax? let me guess your 16 and have never owned a casette, yeah your life is real tough these days with your ipod touch.

  • @MusicFromRobE Why would I be on a Gaga video? What I said was clearly a joke. The song is from 1985. It's a classic but I appreciate it in the present. Dude, I check backgrounds. I owned a cassette as a kid. I know what LPs are, I know about wax, I live in today though. 30,000 songs on a portable player is my preference. No, I'm 20. Why would what I own determine my age? I never said life was tough. What're you bitter over?

  • @MusicFromRobE then why are you on a computer if you rock that old school shit? homoooooo

  • @mclovin435190

cause he already had a computer in the 80s

atari, amiga , commodore 64 , apple , first pc XT or whatever

  • @MusicFromRobE dude, dont hate. this music was made to get haters off peoples. if someone uses theyre ipod to listen too these tunes, then thats pretty cool. and the old people with theyre record players probably said the same shit about your cassettes.

  • @tkREUTERM = Nope! I'm hating, Despite what you say. Ah, snap!! What now? Nope, you're blocked. (I used the correct "you're". So, don't be a grammar Nazi) BTW I got real gold, behold, it wasn't sold, I don't care what you were told cause' I don't fold.

  • @MusicFromRobE - That was all a joke. Look! You're not even blocked. HAHA, I'm a comedian at times.

  • @ChrisMilton1234 not as catchy as radio

I've had this same cassette on repeat on my own deck since the day it came out and don't give a shit about who the latest, commercial fad rapper is on America's watered down, bubble game Kool-Aid smile stations ... Fuck Seattle, fuck teenie bopper stations that perpetrate Hip Hop and play that fake Seattle brand of nonsense ... LL is authentic ... Seattle stations are KKK ... Fuck all that Seattle noise ... LL is 5 STARS

  • A classic is a classic.....a classic can't die and stop compare this good music with the new wack shit like lil gayne and wocka flocka bitch.....

  • YOU'D THINK IT WAS A PARTY, NOT A CADILLAC

  • I'm listening to this in 1985.

  • LL cool j sent me here.

  • This is the best hip hop song EVER! Anyone agree????

  • ima start a radio station...

  • ALL these new rappers anit go nothing on ll cool j and public enemy i dont care what know noboby say lil wayne and jay z the game and EMINEM SUCK!!!!!!! OLD SCHOOL RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jbuggyboy you ignorant fuck.u say jay z and eminem are newschool? they are two of the greatest and u say they suck?

  • @k9r100

    Basicly? Yes ^^

Eminem ripped Cage, Jay ripped Biggie.

Atleast the oldskool was creative enough to be original without oversampeling, clowing, stealing or autotuning.

  • @juliusspin can u please send me some video of cage that em used or whatever he did, but no way u can say that em is new. nor jay. jay biggie and busta grew up together.

  • @k9r100

I think Nas made a really good point in Ether about Jay, plus he even admits the dumbing down, and I mean if you look at it, its more a mental f.ck with their image (referring to the start of ROC) than really good music, 99 being kickass but stolen from Ice... And Em? Em got big by being childish, just dissing pussies. And his style? Compair Infinite to Shady. He dropped his old style cause he was compared to Nas, got a new style by: /watch?v=m5uVN8-fLlc. He never did it like that b4.

  • @juliusspin yea, i dont like jay anyway. you mean em got all this credit and fame cause he copied cage's style?

  • @k9r100

Well its like this: In NY a whole psycho movement was going on, not only Cage also many others, but it was too obvious that the specific rhyming style, flow and content (especially the way he delivered it like surreal funny/morbid storylines) were the trading mark of Cage. And when Em came to NY tring to hype up his career by beefing with Cage while already having a deal with Dre. His tactics were cheap and just everything about his career seems fishy. But he's still a sick battle MC :P

  • @k9r100

See if you like this: /watch?v=QOrCZVdRndo.

Yo I gotta go though, but it was cool talking with a dude that is respectfull on Youtube, really rare haha.

    Peace.

  • @juliusspin aight man, all i'm sayin is that em made a huge career, and for that you gotta have something dontcha? everybody got influences but everyone is still unique i think, if em was just a copy of cage then cage should be where em is now.

  • @k9r100

Lol morning message: Cage is finally breaking through with Shia LaBeouf playing his life movie. But outside of that, Em had indeed achieved a monsterous career. But you have to look at the timing, like I said there has been no real Caucasian predecessor so everybody was hunting for that crown. Em came in a time that Hiphop was looking for something new, and Dre was looking for someone to ride on like Pac, Snoop, E and Q before that. They just played it out real good, its all timing.

  • @juliusspin yeah you gotta have some really good promotion and collaboration. and he was white, easier to market to the white guys that have never seen a black man before.

  • @k9r100

Exactly, look at the Beatles, Elvis, The Beach Boys etc etc etc etc etc :P

  • @k9r100

And Em made it commercially good, which no1 was willing at the time, and after that everybody was like oh no Em has already done that, ironic aint it, timing and precision of presentation.

  • I need to pirate this to cassette and blast it somewhere downtown.

  • 0:00-5:25 best part

  • This brings back memories of when hip hop was hip hop and rappers had talent.

  • @LennyB1000 lolz are you serious if youve even bothered listening to the new artists and not just lil wayne and drake youd realise theres lots of talent in hip hop. Look at Kanye West, The Game, Eminem, Jay Z, Outkast just to name a few

  • @69GUNOT YO

  • thumbs up if 50 cents film brought you here

  • HELP!!! Any old schoolers That Know The the name an artist of this hook from the early to mid 80s {I dont care what the white man say santa clause is a black man} i have been looking for the name an artist of that rap song for a long time.

  • Okay I search up,first shit was a song from the 70's called “Santa Claus is a Black Man” by Akim and the Teddy Vann Production Company but you said rap, which only found this where Keith Murray says Take and acknowledge my wisdom and understand That Santa Claus is a black man watch?v=FFIxmI0CKUs.

That about it on the search.

  • I'm 'bout to take it back to the essence of the late 90's and early 2000's when walkmans was still prominent. Check the rhyme if you're interested.

I only flip through three radio stations

to find a song I wanna hear it takes alot of patience

    switch from Z104, 106 and 103

cuz' they play reggae, hip hop and r&b

103 jamz has the 12:00 flashbacks

for 30 mins. they play nothin' but old school tracks

at 4:00 they have their "4-play"

they bump three modern joints and one from back in the day

  • (continued) Jack O' Spade hits the turntables right at 6 of course you know everyday he has a hot new mix also DJ Bee, he deserves recognition with these two together there is no competition then at 7:30 it's the spit hot fire nice cats from 7-cities you'll probably admire the extra potential, some don't need to require and a few are so wack they need to retire at 10 it's "The Love Below" with the late Xavier who always display that smooth, exotic behavior
  • (continued) we cannot forget the "fifth element of hip hop" for a half hour they take it underground nonstop 5:00 Z104 displays their top five they play recent joints and a new one by surprise 106 is known for playin' nine straight songs one disadvantage is commercials be too long DJ Boz mostly keeps the station hot good thing about 106 they go old school alot I take care of my radio the best way I can since year 2000 I've been blastin' my walkman
  • 3 can live without their radio

  • this is catchy but he is the biggest sell out in the history of hip hop

  • @kyoukilis20 He was a sell out getting a record deal with def jam and building the company on his back??? Ignorant comment

  • @omeganaphtali ask anyone you know thats into classic hip hop, they will tell you the same thing.

  • omg the jam

  • 1985 = A time when a 17YRO boy could take on the world with little more than some stripped down beats and bare rhymes.

  • Pitbull, Lil' Jon, Ying Yang Twins, Lil Wane, 50 Cent, Gucci Mane, Lil Boosie, Soulja Boy, T-Pain, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, Bird Man, Rick Ross, E-40, Young Jezzy, Slim Thug, and Young Joc = Utter garbage! I don't even listen to hip-hop radio stations anymore. Noise pollution, that's all you get now. I can't wait for that new Beastie Boys album to drop. Also waiting for that new Red Hot Chili Peppers album, too.

  • yo he was 17 when this came out... and he was rappin at 9... BEAST

  • i got mad love for cool j and 80's rap in general.... but in my opinion rap was perfected during the 90's and over-saturated in the 2000's. kinda like everything else.... like mj the greatest ever(90's)... but u had bird and magic before.... and "next jordan/ next 2pac" after the golden ages, trying to replicate dat greatness.
