  • Me too, This actually went to number one in the Lux charts 1970, I still have the vinyl , on the album the version is differen't , the single was better.

  • Very cool song...it's got enough of the 'dark hippy' and prog vibe to elevate it from run of the mill heavy blues, but it doesn't get bogged down in pretentious nonsense either.

Never even heard of them before today...thanks yet again, darublues \,,/

  • Single version of this is very different. The record companies didn't go in for anything but the standard 2.30 length of record unless you were Dylan or equivalent. Never saw them in concert but as others have said got a lot of pleasure listening to cutting edge technology "Tranny radio" under the pillow. First heard Thin Lizzy "Whisky in the Jar" the same way. Glory days!!!!

  • My mum's friend Sally's brother was in this band.

  • Really cool song.

  • Highly underrated band. A jewel to hear.

  • This is the Music, to fly high

  • Ive still got it on a 45rpm !!

  • Atomic roosterish. I dig it.

  • I still got my single of Get on the Line/Summers Child from '72 and Green Eyed from

    1975

  • gawd yes me too - I remember struggling to keep my radio tuned to 208 as it seemed to be the only place you could hear this, even if it was through the usual wall of interference. First time I've heard this full version.

  • wasnt Bruce Springsteen in a band called Steel Mill?

  • @sirlordwhitman He was , but it wasn't this band.

  • God, you're a part of me ! Amen to that.

  • @ParadoxapocalypSatan We are part of all the things like all the things are part of uss! to God, know you first=)

  • This is my mate's dad!!!

I believe the remastered album is available through amazon- released 2nd November-includes lots of bonus material!!!

  • I remember this from Radio Luxembourg too. Absolute classic!

  • OMG @ Chrisharo...I did the same thing I used to bring the transistor to bed, listen to it under the sheets, and I can remember this song sooo well..and I can recall the hourly power play at that time..

  • @lonergan2468 John Miles High Fly...was the power play

  • Hope I don't sound like a wanker, but I have an original Penny Farthing vinyl single of this song, mono, 1971 b/w Zangwill. I think I first heard it on Radio Luxembourg on a small transistor radio under my pillow - great song!

  • @chrisharro

was not just me who listened under me pillow then , when my mam thought i was asleep.. top stuff indeed

  • @chrisharro lol same way i used to listen to radio luxembourg though dont remember this song, i used to listen to their chart show

  • Killer track!

  • Thanks for posting.

  • I've been searching for this for years. What a treat. I had the single also. I heard this 1st on John Peels Top Gear.

  • Great to hear this lost 70's classic again. Thanks for posting it.

  • This is great, but I'd love to hear the single version again. On Penny Farthing records, I believe it was.
