  • wow nice SCOUSE ACCENT

  • this is so a canada version of the show! haha the drummer doing a hairspray 60's beat too haha. its good but all i will say is diction and just anchoring when singing coz went lil flat in bits.. but i did enjoy

  • Favourite Song!

We were having a discussion in English the other day, because in the scripts we're reading it didn't specify; Would Linda actually be able to hear him? Or would it just be his inner thoughts being made clear for the audience? Everybody thought no, it's just for our benefit, but I always thought it was better when she can hear him. What does everyone else think?

  • @PurpleFunnyChocolate Its for her to hear, so that she knows how both Mickey and Eddie feel about her! Also, if you listen to the recording, she replys to some of the lyrics so she is meant to hear! Hope that helped! :)

  • @PurpleFunnyChocolate i think its a bit of both to be honest.... im most likely wrong but thats what i thought watching the play. i thought some things she can hear and some she cant. my opinion though....

God i love this play! :D

  • love it x

  • The music is too fast he cant keep up at places... musicians grrr

  • i think this was a cute version! people are stuck to traditions and at first it was weird at how fast it was, but it was still good! and taking into account that it's a high school production and sometimes, fake accents SUCK.

  • my fav bit in the whole play is when mickey gets out of jail. linda gives him his lunch and notices that he is still on the tablets, and he almost hits her and she says you dont need them mickey, what about what i need? i need you, i love you and he just walks away! bastard! my fav play ever

  • yeah dnt it make u feel depressish cos u can truly see how mickey from abright young boy grows to a typical hormonal teen into a struggling adult who goes into a breakdown from guilt jail etc brilliant

  • Poor Edward!!

He really likes Linda!! He's adorable!! ^-^

  • This is excellent!!!

Such an upbeat version of the song too!

    Loved every minute! x

  • same

  • Very good. This song makes me smile.

    =)

    Eddie's so cute!! LOL

  • Think we gonna do this when we go back to skl, but we gonna have dancing acting and singing so, hopefully i would love 2 play Edward though! ;)

  • Yeah even though what most of you are saying is true about Edward this is still their own rendition of it, and Edward was hanging out with Mickey and Linda so of course he was trying to dress like them aswell so, if you look at it that way, he could be dressing like them to fit in, even though in the real musical, he would be more posh and stuff right?

  • i think this is really good, iv performed in this musical as eddie, its really good, and defiantly my all time favourite musical :).

  • blood brothers is my fav musical

some of these comments r abit harsh :O

    it is a bit fast

its a school performance not bloody broadway lol what do u people expect

i think its pretty gud to be fare :)

plus who evers playing eddie looks pretty gud looking to me lol :D

    xx

  • lol well thanks, thats me about 5 years ago in gr 10, and yes i was not good at singing at that point, check out my band sound havens cover of kids mgmt u might like it

  • luv this song n the musical is amazin 2

  • costume is wrong and Eddie was miore posh than that! the song is also a lot slower than it was sung. bad diction and bad movments. the set is good tho. :)

  • i agree

  • I agree! Where's the accents?

  • This is in CANADA!!! Give em a break! It's a british play and I'm sure they have a lot more to worry about with lines, singing, stage directions and everything so sod the accents :)

  • Not just any accent either. The Liverpuddlian, it's easily the hardest.

  • If I was him? Where was the money note....

  • no swearing

  • 1. eddie is a posh guy who has had a good upbring.

    2. most the roles should have scouse acents

3.costume eddie should be in a suit or shirt and tie not that!!

i am a west end actor and would love to play in blood brothers but this video kills it plese take it down!!1

  • well this isn't broadway pal!

    its high school

    cut them some slack!

    it isn't THAT bad!

    i liked it

seriously everyone's giving the actors such a hard time!

  • first of all since when have the whole cast been canadian. we're scousers so therefore we rock so shag the vicar. Eddie is a posh bastard but we love him. Since when has there been a jock in the show. The song is meant to be slow and heartfelt & scousers dont dress like this. The layout is all wrong. Trust me we should know we're the experts. So fix it. Rehearse it. Think about doin it. And then dont even bother. You wannabe scousers. You killed it

  • totally agree. but i suppose people are allowed to do their own takes on things. but i suppose this doesnt reflect the difference in class etc etc etc

  • lol thats me singing and thats me in gr 11, when your school has only 400 kids its not that easy to find good enough talent to pull it off exactly like it was, were not professionals, its a fun play to do so we did it

  • is still a gd show :D

  • I am sorry to say this, but the costume is wrong and Eddie was miore posh than that! the song is also a lot slower than it was sung, but i love the video i watch it over and over again! so thank you!

  • flat and too fast, sorry xx

  • This is a very strange show to choose for a school in Canada! Did you leave in all the references to Liverpool in the 1980s?

  • since when was edward a jock??

  • It's very fast, I like it when it's slower, and it was a bit flat.

    Good job tho!

  • stupid thign nt even the proper liverpool 1 !!!!

i went to watch da liverpool 1 nd was the best musical i ave eva seen eva !!!!!!

  • i remember the dude pretending to be hitler saying i am ze king of all ze boobies lol

  • oh my god i was in this audience it was grade 8 day i believe ^^

  • Okay, so it's quite good, but your costume and accent are terrible. The costume looks very american prep, not 1970's england. Also, the accents are VERY cheesy american accents. This is an ENGLISH play, it is in this way for a reason. Like the whole Margret Thatcher theme I bet you missed. Try doing a Liverpudlian accent, I bet you can't.

  • aww David, I think you're pretty good lol..and the 2 acting love bird should take their conversation somewhere else lol.

  • ya you think that

  • hey for those who ridicule me for my singing, please cheak out my other stuff under "David pinard", im actully not as bad as i am in this video

  • David I am not an expert, but I have just listened to Wonderwall and Iris and .... unfortunately it sounds pretty much to me that you are not a very good singer. However, I could be wrong? why dont you pop along to an X Factor audition the next time it is in your area and I am sure that Simon Cowell will keep you right. Maybe with some training .................

  • wat character did u play

  • eddie lyons, this was a while ago while my voice was not very good lol

  • u look more like micky

  • i think u were ok at singing it want tat bad

  • this isen't as good as the one i went to see. but your not a prosetional singer so it would sound different. x x x

  • that was so bad! why did the conductor lower it! and on the high parts it went down, and his costume looks like mickeys! guy is very bad 1 star (if there was a zero id give it)

  • not to mention the acting and anounciation

  • Yeah and the american accents!

  • well its a little hard to do i mean i want to act when im older and i suck at english accents and the saddest part is im a quarter british

  • Really? Me too! where are you thinking of working, everytime i hear this song sung down and eddie looks like mickey i cringe!

  • well i live in Ontario Canada so im thinkin of goin to Sheridan or Randolf

  • ? why not broadway?

  • i ment for school

  • oh!!! right!well good luck1

  • it would be nice if an attempt at the accent was done. all english people put on american accents for your shows

  • I've seen this musical in London... "I'm Not Saying A Word" is my favorite song from the musical, and this guy, although good by high school standards, is sub par compared to the British actor I saw singing this exact song. At least the girl is cute.

  • well the girl isnt much of an actress either

  • i thought you were wickid

    youre a good singer :)

  • alright so im the guy in this video and have to set a few things stright, for one we did do british accents, but not being british i cant sing like that, on another note, that song is very hard to sing, i normally have a much lower voice, so i had to sing it that way, but i do no i need practice

  • Eddies not like tht he's more posh in it and doesn't wear tht sort of costume!!

  • I love Blood Brothers!

  • Yeah, a bit flat throughout the whole song. This guy needs to learn to sing from his diaphragm and not from his chest. With a bit of support, he wouldn't waver on the longer/higher notes.

And it's definitely not an octave high or low, it's just flat (i.e. semitone or two below the note he should be singing).

I don't think singing a song in tune is too much to ask for a high school musical. It's not a high song, it's only an "e" which for any tenor is bread and butter.

  • yer i agree, he needs to learn to sing from his diaphragm. he's got a bit of potential

  • It's not an octive higher you tart that would be alto, it should really be a semi tone up but for someone to sing that song in perfect tune at a 'high school' musical is asking a bit much. Good effort kid, you have a really nice voice you just need to work on getting it a tad higher = )

  • the point of edward is to be posh, also its set in liverpool, if american's want to do this play they should learn english accents, simple as

we had to learn american accents for american plays, cant see why you cant do the same, and he went offkey way too many times

  • we aren't american.

  • woops canadian, the point is you didnt do it in liverpool accents, which is the whole point of it (rolls eyes)

  • @tonyblak - canadian, same principle.... Hes not a jock, hes a high class english man.. :/

  • @tonyblak then why is edward wearing an american university jacket?

  • I absolutly love Blood Brothers!

  • its to jazzed up to convey the pain and anguish that eddie felt. haha. i sounded like i knew what i was talking about there! It is rather fast

  • its well fast!!!!

  • good but off key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dis is shite!

  • it annoyed me a bit that this was in an american accent but i guess thats to be expected lol but its just not quite blood brothers without the accents lol the last note of every line is always slightly off but apart from that good job x

  • Great job! I love this song!

  • my god is he good lol

  • not bad, a bit off key but definately listenable and a pretty good orchesrta too. Do you have a video of the Miss Jones' song?

  • i agree, a very good spanking to smack him into reality <3...i hear alot of rough notes....ouch!

  • he sounds like a duck who needs a spanking

  • hehe he really sounds lyk hte eddie in the west end london production of bb well done

  • wow that pretty gd well done
