I always liked the kids in the movie. They were just normally kids who could be living on your own street. Not like a lot of kids you see in more recent films. And of course, Amy was hot. I had such a crush on her.

Haven't seen this in years. Still entertaining after all this time. Special effects were pretty good, because they were done for real, not CGI, which has made just about every special effect look fake and plastic these days.

Makes you long for the days of stop motion almost. At least that looked pretty cool. Prime example: the skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts.

actually the Russel character was born in dec 1972 (according to imdb) making him 35 today. His younger brother Ron is 33. Nick is actually 30. so you're way off. Remember this was released in june of 89, almost 20 years ago
