once I found a baby locked in a car at a plaza. when I called 911 they told me to break the window out. so by the time the police came and busted the window out. we had been there 1/2 hour. that poor baby was crying and the sweat was just running down her face. i tried to talk to her but it was like 90 outside. the cop went into the store and asked who's car. the woman was afraid to come forward. little did she know cps had already taken her child to the er and had no plans returning the child.
If I saw that someone left their kids in the car, I'd break a fucking window, get in the damn car, and get them out and to the hospital. If I get in trouble for any reason (government is fucked up), oh fucking well. I wouldn't regret a thing, except that I didn't get the chance to beat the shit outta the ignorant parent.

They simply said that they were still investigating and that they didn't know what charges to recommend at that point in time. What the father did is a serious neglect issue and the case needs to be thorough if the state wishes to have the father convicted and suffer the necessary consequences.
its a miracle the children were found alive. stupid for the officer to think that this was not serious enough that he should face any charges. 15 more minutes and they'd be finding corpses. its obvious from both children's reactions it had been more than an hour. Are they waiting for next time?

I pulled up in front of a store and the car next to me had a newborn baby in the car seat by itself and keys in the ignition i was mad I didn't even get out of my car until the person came out the store it was the babies dad I guess came out about 10 minutes later with 2 beers and a blunt wrap it was really sad I was not going to go in knowing that baby was alone anyone could of stolen that car, kidnapped that baby or anything I wasn't taken any chances as for the sorry father, i'm speechless.

I agree completely that small children should never be left alone in a car. People can, however, blow things out of proportion. My son often asks if he can stay in the car while I go in and shop. It is not unusual for people to stop and ask him if he's alright. Occasionally I'll get paged to the front of the store to be lectured on the dangers of leaving a child in a hot car. My response? He's 14. If he gets too hot he'll roll down the windows or get out of the car!

We found 3 children in a parked car next to our van at night in 43 degree temps. We did notify the police but the policeman informed us that it is 'NOT A CRIME' to leave children in a car unattended... when he found that among the children left in the car was an infant and a toddler with a 7 year old, he called dispatch. When the parents arrived and saw the officer, the mother's defense was:'What?You don't expect me to wake all 3 of them up and take them into the store just to buy boots do you?"

Mom probably trusted the dad to care for the children while she was at work. That poor little baby is probably hungry and scared since everyone who is taking her/him were strangers. I have a question.......I have a newer car with autostart and an alarm. This feature also lets me run the car and take the keys out AND arm the alarms all the while the car stays running (blowing a/c, headrest tv's playing there movies, etc...) Is it wrong to do that to say run in the gas station or something like that? I am just getting an outlook on this no smarta** remarks please
@Glissonshoods whether right or wrong, the question is "do you really feel it's safe to leave a child at all?" I raised 2 children, who were 11 months apart by myself. I never ever considered leaving them not even for one split second. There are too many things/accidents that can occur and to many horror stories of kids being kidnapped. Even just running into the station for a minute might take longer than you expect. It's worth the couple of seconds it takes to take the child with you.

We found 3 children in a parked car next to our van at night in 43 degree temps. We did notify the police but the policeman informed us that it is 'NOT A CRIME' to leave children in a car unattended... when he found that among the children left in the car was an infant and a toddler with a 7 year old, he called dispatch. When the parents arrived and saw the officer, the mother's defense was:'What?You don't expect me to wake all 3 of them up and take them into the store just to buy boots do you?"

I have twin babies, so to hear the distraught cries of that baby pulls at my heartstrings. Makes me want to go wake my babies up right now and hug on them! God bless the people that alerted the authorities and thank God they got there in time to rescue the babies. I pray they were not returned to the dad. That is utter negligence and he should receive the harshest penalty allowed by law.

Mom probably trusted the dad to care for the children while she was at work. That poor little baby is probably hungry and scared since everyone who is taking her/him were strangers. The little boy seems to be alright but who knows what he will remember. They must have been hot in the car even if it was just warm outside. That father should be sentenced to at least 10 years in jail with no ventilation in the cell. He should be made to go hungry a couple of days.

I said I would feel safe because I have a car that has an alarm that allows me to 1. remove key without turning off the car when hitting the right button. 2. set the alarm after I exit the vehicle. therefore my car is running with a/c and a tv for each of them to watch. you cannot get into the car without breaking the window and child locks are on the back doors. continued........

I have a question.......I have a newer car with autostart and an alarm. This feature also lets me run the car and take the keys out AND arm the alarms all the while the car stays running (blowing a/c, headrest tv's playing there movies, etc...) Is it wrong to do that to say run in the gas station or something like that? I am just getting an outlook on this no smarta** remarks please

@Glissonshoods whether right or wrong, the question is "do you really feel it's safe to leave a child at all?" I raised 2 children, who were 11 months apart by myself. I never ever considered leaving them not even for one split second. There are too many things/accidents that can occur and to many horror stories of kids being kidnapped. Even just running into the station for a minute might take longer than you expect. It's worth the couple of seconds it takes to take the child with you.
