Don't be naive. The US government has gotten so big with so many laws, that nobody can go through life without breaking some law or other. Yes, that is my contention. If you are still in AZ, I am MORE than willing to share with you. What is even more frightening..is that this in NOT uncommon any more. It is sad. I have two police reports regarding my ID being stolen - and several financial institutions that conducted a fraud investigation and found that several frauds had indeed been committed and I have been reimbursed everything stolen. This has been going since 2004. The criminal charge came in 2010.
It took seven months of investigation, but it has finally been dismissed.however, the charges follow me wherever I go. I have to prove to anyone who does a criminal background check on me (and the line of work I am in.it is mandatory) that these charges were unfounded and dismissed due to identity theft.
You don't know me, but if you did..you would KNOW instantly I am not capable of the charges brought against me.
So..I was NOT at the wrong place, wrong time. I do not know any criminals (or didn't until I got to visit 4th Ave. over night) have no criminal history (and at my age, this is significant) have a verifiable and believable alibi AND proof of ongoing usage of my identity..that wasn't me using it. So..I had to PROOVE and PRAY for dismissal..for a crime (crimes) I never committed - or until the police showed up at my house was never aware of.

Of course, this figure simply reflects those *currently* in the system--a great many more Americans are felons no longer under sentence, or are the acquitted, or have been arrested but never charged, all of whom have also have seen the insides of jails.

You generally don't want to discuss what you actually did, because your cell mate could rat you out to try to get time taken off his sentence, and ruin any defense you might have left. But just telling people what you were accused of is a different story. You've got nothing to hide there, unless it was a sex crime or something else so contemptible even the other inmates will kick your ass for it.

Austin, TX - City Council passed a resolution ending business & travel ties to AZ to protest SB1070. The resolution calls for ending all business-related travel to AZ by city employees, unless it is related to police investigations, providing humanitarian aid or protecting Austinites health & safety. Also you prob have larger income thus a better defendant lawyer. Even when you show the cops, courts & prosecution the repeated police reports and fraud investigations from financial institutes clearing you. If you're one of the lucky ones, it's dismissed-otherwise, it's a toss of the coin.

Yes, that is my contention. If you are still in AZ, I am MORE than willing to share with you. What is even more frightening..is that this in NOT uncommon any more. It is sad. I have two police reports regarding my ID being stolen - and several financial institutions that conducted a fraud investigation and found that several frauds had indeed been committed and I have been reimbursed everything stolen. This has been going since 2004. The criminal charge came in 2010.

I have to prove to anyone who does a criminal background check on me (and the line of work I am in.it is mandatory) that these charges were unfounded and dismissed due to identity theft.

I do not know any criminals (or didn't until I got to visit 4th Ave. over night) have no criminal history (and at my age, this is significant) have a verifiable and believable alibi AND proof of ongoing usage of my identity..that wasn't me using it. So..I had to PROOVE and PRAY for dismissal..for a crime (crimes) I never committed - or until the police showed up at my house was never aware of.

Of course, this figure simply reflects those *currently* in the system--a great many more Americans are felons no longer under sentence, or are the acquitted, or have been arrested but never charged, all of whom have also have seen the insides of jails.

You generally don't want to discuss what you actually did, because your cell mate could rat you out to try to get time taken off his sentence, and ruin any defense you might have left. But just telling people what you were accused of is a different story. You've got nothing to hide there, unless it was a sex crime or something else so contemptible even the other inmates will kick your ass for it.

Austin, TX - City Council passed a resolution ending business & travel ties to AZ to protest SB1070. The resolution calls for ending all business-related travel to AZ by city employees, unless it is related to police investigations, providing humanitarian aid or protecting Austinites health & safety. It also asks the city manager to review all city business with & investments in the state of AZ & devise a plan to end those ties.
Council members have said that the new law is discriminatory

He lies through his teeth! I am not an illegal and I am against people breaking the law, like jumping our fences illegally, but dont believe him. Do your research and you'll find out his laws do not work! Prisoners keep going back to prison, so they are not afraid of him. His pink underwear on prisoners is his own fantasy. They still keep getting hi in those cells and tents. Drugs still infiltrate his system and he allows gangs, so he is weak and only wants to be on national news.

If you go to Arizona DON'T TALK TO POLICE.
Even if you are here legally they will arrest you if you cannot prove without a doubt you are.
If you do not speak 100% English with no dialect and are not 100% white then you will be thrown in jail until your family can prove you are here legally.
Drivers licenses are not proof of citizenship or immigration status.
