  • Glückwunsch, weiter so!

Hervorragend! Guter Sound, schöne Aufnahme! Auf der Orgelbühne trotzdem Humor:-)

  • This is actually very soulfully played. I can tell the organist is extremely passionate and dedicated.

  • I love this piece very much. Thank you for your interpretation. I think it's perfect played and not easy to play - specially the pedals. But I don't like the sound of this organ. May be it's to small for this powerful music. I wish I could play an organ some day. Unfortunately I'm just a middle class piano player.

  • Nice tempo. 50 years ago baroque music was played too slowly and Romantic. Today it's played too fast. So are most web versions of this piece. He's not the best organist in the world, so what.

  • BRILLIANT!! Nicely done sir...

  • very good!

I've been playing almost 2 years now and I so hope organ playing a beautiful fugue may soon

  • A notes magma does not give music.

  • the most expressive version of 540 on youtube.

  • met alle respect, hier en daar een beetje slordig. 3*

  • isn't the 'maestro' a bit of a lackey ?

  • I like what happens at time 4:50. The "lackies" miss a stop push/pull. The maestro points to the error.

  • the maestro cetainly has a few errors of his own between 2:30 and 3:10

  • still, a pretty uplifting rendition overall

  • Nice and crisp play! The way I like it.

  • Very nice organ playing. The organ stop push/pull looked very labor-intensive.

  • Nice tempo and agogic.

    Organ could be more powerful.

    Very symphatic organ-player

    Thanks for this video

  • Words do not need ..

    Remarkable !!

  • The sound of the pedal-work is different than you would hear down in the church. Now you hear it a bit loud because of the position of the camera, that influences the mix. It is a very good performance and a very good registration. Nice organ too of course.

  • I agree with deschner it is very important to have a strong bass for this piece in the version of Breitkopf&Hertel you have to make the pedals fff and this includes the 16' trombone and the 8' trumpet.

  • Joey, Your comment about the footwork is so annoying, it bothers me. So trivial! (Martin)

  • I don't think he should have pulled that poo poo out for the pedal solo bits.

  • Where is the Fugue?

    This is only the Toccata.

The tittle of this video shodn't cheat.

It is showed at the end when the helpers were preparing the sounds.

  • the fugue is in a separate file...

  • that bass is Loud.

  • only problem i find is that it is a bit unsightly to see the organist holding onto the sides of the keyboard whilst playing through the pedal sections, would be better if he was to hold onto the side of the bench

  • You just need an excuse to nitpick, right? I suppose your play the pedal with your fingers stuck up your nostrils and your tongue stuck out.

  • Not a very nice thing to say, but funny. I appreciated it.

  • I have to say that it's quite common, (Even here in England) to hold on to the sides of the keyboards when playing long pedal passages. It reduces the temptation to take your body weight on your hands if you hold on to the bench. I think this is an excellent rendition.

  • Just... magnificent. Thankes for posting!

  • absolutely fantastic, wonderful registration which brings out a typical baroque sound. Great!

  • That's very common on (older) european organs. they do not have electric action, instead, they use mechanical action to get the pipes to play. So therefore, they don't have any combination pistons like electric-action organs do.
