I missed this one Scott. Way different and way cool. Makes a great change from the sound-alike, Joe Pass arrangements, which is hoew I would probably do it! Lol!
You got some nice Django/ish hints at the end though.
Hi Jeffry. Just throw in a bunch of altered chords over the basic chords structure and interconnect them with passing chords and some runs. You'll be playing it in no time. 8-)
Thanks, Freddy! I only wish I was as good as you and Victor. I'm just a dabbler. You guys are the real "Jazz Cats!" I'm a "Jack-Of-Different-Styles." 8-)
Hey Scott my man, wow, you play man, keepin that Misty form going
,in your lead I can hear where you are that's professional playing, you can improvise what you want once that form is there, very nice man enjoyed it,Gr Vic.
We're gonna do that in the near future, first I have to finish that Dim-solo part 2 Video, than I'm off to Spain for two weeks(maybe in an Internet Cafe I'll keep in touch) what about "All the things you are" (A flat), can you do the editing I'm lousy at that. I could do the theme, improvisation and leave room for you to fill in improvisation and ending theme, just an idea. tell me what you think,gr Vic.
That's sounds like a cool idea! Can you set up a click track in the left channel only and play in the right channel only? Leave 4 clicks before you start playing. Guitar only. I'll supply the rest of the arrangement. We could have a vocal maybe on the 1st time through, you then take a solo on 2nd time through, I'll solo on the 3rd time, on the 4th time you do a chord solo, then end the song. For the ease of arranging after the fact, keep the tempo straight. What do you think?
Thanks, Barry. A tad sloppy, plus I'm not crazy about that open string passing note in the beginning of the tune, but in a weird way it worked (kind of). 8-)
Thanks Extracelestial, soon as I burn out on my brainless humor and uninformative commentary videos I'll get back to adding more music videos... including Jazz toons!
this is so nice!.. five*

Absolutely beautiful man! What a lovely tone you get from that guitar. Enjoyed it very much! Cheers!

Thank-you, Ed. It's a 1967 Martin 00-18. I abused this poor Guitar, banging on it, accidentally put scratches & cracks in it, dents, etc.
DieselBodine 4 years ago
Martin make beautiful guitars, but in the hands of a novice, it won't help. In your hands, that peice of wood comes alive!

I'll be durn! That is a pretty far out arrangement for me. I'll have to study that for awhile
