The Kittens of the AACCC (July 2nd 2009) - All Adopted!

is this like the ACC in New York>? Animal Care&Control is the municipal shelter where they cannot refuse any cat or dog. If after a 2 week period an animal isn't adopted,they are euthanized to make room for the next bunch. They aren't mean or bad,it's just the law for that place. All the "no kill" shelters run to that place to pull cats and dogs off the euthanasia line!! At public adoption events,ACC gives the cats away for free to not have to bring them back!!

@Suzan4B Nothing at all like that! That is terrible! The only ones who get euthanized are the ones who get too sick and rescues (no-kill) are too full to take them... Which thankfully doesn't happen often. There is no rule on how long a cat can stay... Heck, Rama was there for nearly 3 months, finally got adopted!

@AK49BWL Boy that's a relief! How hideous to number the days of any living creature because there's "no room" "People?" are something else!
