The interview would be in July 2008 about his trip on the 19th, 4 months before being elected -- and add to that the transitional period after a new president would be elected. That's more than 8 year and less than ten -- he made a completely accurate statement.

That would work if he had said "between 8 and 10 years". He said "8 TO 10 years", which has to mean "Maybe 8, maybe 9, maybe 10 or maybe something between those."

Actually, like everything Obama says, you have to run it through the ambiguity and doubletalk filters. What he's really saying is that after his single 4-year gig of finishing running America into the ground, he'll be moving on to his post at the United Nations, where he can continue climbing the ladder of the New World Order. This has already been promised to him. That's why he went on the World Apology tour. He considers himself a "World Leader," literally, NOT just America's president.

Not that try to talk sense into anyone will be worth the time - what he said was "I expect to be dealing with them for the next 8-10 years." I could be nuts, saying that and "I plan to change the Constitution so I can be President for 8-10 years" are somewhat different.  Could it be....I don't know...what like many past presidents (both Democratic and Republican) he plans to stay active in public service after his term of office is up?
