I just wanted to say that I truly respect what you have said here. I have come across some media recently that forced me to think about the principals and ideas I was seeing. As part of my job I monitor content that i find on the web and I am violently against anything that approaches pedohilia or abuse of any sort. There are parts of the human experience however, that are not vile, but do challenge perceptions. So thanks for putting this out there.
Thank you for your words , they mean a lot , I know it's a very delicated subject to deal with for lots of people because unfortunetly is related with negative incidents wich has nothing to do with the plot of this movie , as I said before rape or violence to a kid or any person for that matter is a terrible thing to do and it has nothing to do with love, But this subject in particular is about a sweet crush that a boy have over his teacher there is no abuse of any kind in here.
I'm not at all familiar with the movie, But the dynamic reminds me of a situation with me and my Catechism teacher. I was about 16. He about 23 and attractive, .. paying me special attention and going out of his way to drive me home and pick me up for class. Unfortunately, I was a stupid, naive kid who could only fantasize about guys like him - not sexually, but companionship-wise. My parents taught me to be afraid of anything 'intimate' .. so I pushed him away and regretted it ever since.

@caitybarre This movie shows a very honest depiction of how genuine the feelings get for both parties, it never gets "sinister'. which was the writers' intention, I guess. It's just when I read peoples' comments about: "Oh...I wish they could be together!"; I'm like: Erm...no-you really don't want that-just stick to where the movie ends. i agree about "fear" it's the worst of emotions and makes even good people, do the most horrible things if they are led by it.

I bought this movie. I saw that the boy so much needed that kind of man in his life, but the man, his teacher, was so afraid the relationship would become sexual that he had to break it off. He had a strong but unfaithful girlfriend. So, who would have been a better lover?

When I say "in love" I do not just refer to fraternal platonic buddy kind of love. It was intimate. Passionate, physical. It went on for 4 yrs.Everytime I tried to break it off; he threatened to tell-gaining control.Guess he realized how wrong it was, eventhough he genuinely felt in love.Love should'nt hurt.In this case;it did.

What did that say about me? and would'nt people see me as a willing participant? a seducer?It's easy to brainwash a a 12 year old.There's a lot of conflicting emotions, leaving me vulnerable enough for him to act out his "love" for me. And me laying there.scared as hell and physically enjoying it.

@caitybarre This movie shows a very honest depiction of how genuine the feelings get for both parties, it never gets "sinister'. which was the writers' intention, I guess. It's just when I read peoples' comments about: "Oh...I wish they could be together!"; I'm like: Erm...no-you really don't want that-just stick to where the movie ends. i agree about "fear" it's the worst of emotions and makes even good people, do the most horrible things if they are led by it.

It was almost 3 years.... of talking to him online, he has dial up , so we just exchanged pictures, and we never talked on webcam...I had to send him a device for wifi , so we can meet at the airport. Once i arrived at the airport, ( he arrived first) , my wifi wasn't working, then finally i connected and i found out where he was... I was going up the electric escalator, while he was going down.. FIrst eye to eye moment in 3 years... I tried not to cry..

Allow a child to mature into its own sexual maturity.
