Hi Edna! You are fabulous, thanks for sharing your knowledge! I'd like to know what that board that you are using to roll out your gumpaste is made of - the little board right in front of you. Marble? Silicone?
Hello Edna, your flowers look amazing. I tried to find all indegrients for Gum Paste but I have huge trouble finding Tylose Powder. May I ask where you get yours from?
@951128AR You can bake the cake a week earlier but I wouldn't finish it until the day before. The most would be 2 days. The gumpaste flowers can be done months in advanced and after they are fully dry over a week in an open space you can store them in a dry place in a dry box/
Hello Edna, I love your work. I recently purchased from your store the ball tools set to make roses and I have a question. How do I to make cones for the roses always the same size?
Hi Edna, i love ur tutorial and thinking one day to have ur dvd. Also i want to ask how do u called that wire and where to buy it? thank`s in advance!
What's you favourite type of cutter for roses? Just curious and you're very experienced :) Love your videos- thanks so much for doing them, they are so helpful!
thanks you soo much for the rose video...i made a rose today for the first time...i want to make some for my sister weeding cake ...i'm a newbie at cake decorating...you are a godsend.. so Thanks bunches
Can I color my rose after I make it? I spent soooo much time coloring the gumpaste beforehand, that when I started working w/ it started drying on me. Can I use petal dust or luster dust to color it? I have also seen that some people use nontoxic chalk to color it but, I need burgandy...so, I think that would be hard to find.
Yes you can, but if you want the center darker, at least do the center before. Is more difficult after is fully finish, but then again, is not impossible.
My gumpaste keeps drying and cracking................I put shortening on my hands and knead into the gumpaste but when I roll it out it still seems to crack easily and come apart. Am I doing something wrong?
You have to work fast for it not to dry. But sometimes after is been over worked too many times it starts doing the same. Sometimes a little bit of fondant will fix it. But if not use a new piece of gumpaste. I work with small pieces so this doesnt happen.
I use cake wire. Usually cover in like a fabric. Needs to be a strong one depending on how big your flower is.
I used a #20, but this can change depending on the company you use. I put a dab of buttercrcream to hold it in place. And you can cover the wire with either a straw or white chocolate..
im making gumpaste roses and I was wondering if I could make leaves out of buttercream icing? Or if they would look better with gumpaste leaves. Don't want them to look weird!
So the gumpaste is easier to work with then? Im doing a wedding cake for a lady and she wants burgandy roses on it. Im kinda nervous about it...it's my first really big cake order! Im gonna try the gp roses and hope they look as beautiful as yours do.
I've never worked with gumpaste before......is it better for making flowers? I usually use mm fondant to make roses. There not as pretty as your though! Your a great teacher!
I think your tutorials are the best, you are very patience to teach us everything step by step...

@951128AR After you make the flowers, you never put them in the fridge. The stay out in a dry place. They dont like moisture.
