Non-linear gameplay is the way of the future, players want choice in how their gaming experiences pan out...Japanese developers need to evolve, or they will be left by the wayside.

@shon231 augh, actueally it was directed by DMC director Hideki Kamiya who was the system planer for the first Resident Evil, director for Resident Evil 2, Original game design for RE Zero, director for Viewful Joe, story for Viewful joe 2, and viewful joe double trouble, so if you think that it does have a DMC feel to it, maybe you should play some more of his games before you down a good game just because it has the feel of a game you dont like.

Back in the Genesis/SNES days, I would agree with you, but ever since I played MGS, eve since I played Silent Hill, i can rarely play a game without a story. It doesn't have to be Uncharted, it doesn't have to pwn movie/book plots. Mirror's Edge could have used a better plot, but I enjoyed it.

DMC's plot was horrible enough that it would have done better without it. Still awesome. This is bassically DMC with tits, so it'll probably be an exception for me.
