I HEAR YOU MAN....ALL THESE LEADERS ARE JUST THINKING BOUT THEIR OWN POCKET AND THE THE ECONOMIC WELL BEEING OF THE NATION. SH3 THIS IS MMUAS3M. GHANA IS STRUGGLING OF THESE IMPROPERLY EDUCATED NIPAS, GIVE THEM SOME FUCKINS
The reality is that if you go to Ghana and start a business, your overhead is high. As a result, the average Ghanaian will rather use that money to buy a house and a car. This is why the businesses are started by foreigners. Moreover, it is difficult to get Ghanaians to share costs and start strong businesses in Ghana. It is all about start up money to create businesses and the jobs will come. Some change in mentality is required.
Real talk. I saw way too many Chinese contractors. The other thing I saw was people's obsession with foreign goods. Like made in Ghana was rubbish. Even worse is that US imported rice was cheaper to buy than home grown rice. Rice oh, simple rice. SMH
Exactly i was thinking dat jst yesterday, i was soo mad and sad, cos i wana go back but aint nuttin, no job centre to place well qualified people into their own field or agencies to provide work for even farmers as and when needed so dat everyone has at least a set number of hours of paid work and basic food. i wish i could do smthing great to move us more forward.
in some cases people are to cheap to actually hire more help and to get a good job you gotta spend money to make money and alot of people dont have it that easy so its hard.
I have to disagree here: There actually are plenty of jobs in Ghana. The main problem is that because of the lack of educational resources, people are not being properly trained to do these kind of jobs. This is what makes it seem like there aren't any jobs in Ghana....
You really need to need to be in the next campaign for Ghana President .... . we will vote for you oooooooooo .....vote WuMaame... Give them the FUKCINS.... lol i love you..XX
Ghananians must fight against this and I don't mean against our government, but the West, who put us in this situation by supporting coups and making us follow rules that benefit them and put us at a disadvantage.
And must therefore reject these policies in order to establish ourselves properly because by following these policies it means we are still under the control of the USA, UK and France. We under a new form of colonialism via economics. And they make a profit out of us because we are under obligation to pay debts to them, whilst we receive peanuts in loans which most goes to corrupt politicians, paying debts and transnational companies. Reducing our money supply to supply jobs.
This leads to lack of money flowing within our economy and therefore a lack of jobs. This all due to us following Western policies. Ghana needs to strong like China and South Korea
Also the neoliberal policies suggest that we should allow the market to decide our interest rates and that we should put no tariffs in imported goods. The market deciding interest rates leads to major fluctuations to our exchange rate and interest rate that the government cannot control. No tariffs on imported goods leads to Ghanaian businesses losing out because it easy for Ghanaian citizens to buy products elsewhere.
Simple the IMF and World Bank's policies are one of the main reasons. We receive loans from these institutions and in order for us to get the loans we need to follow their neoliberal policies, such low public expenditure, deregulation of the economy, privatisation of state enterprises. Therefore due to low expenditure we have relatively poor healthcare system, the government has a lack of control of our resources and businesses due to private companies owning everything.
I know how you feel. We Ghanaians need to step up and do something. I hate seeing people stuggling on the streets trying to sell little necessary things just to make a little profit when i go over there. Our country needs us.
@ALLNATIONSNJ that plays a little part in our problem, but it is not necessarily the case bro. It is more to do with our economic structure that has been enforced onto us by the Western world.
Ghana, well Africa, needs to stop pimpin itself out like a $2 hooka. All the resources that our land possesses...the govt is selling it off like a swap meet. Africa, left to its own resources would put US and China to shame. Its lk a crack dealer selling his product and then buying it back at a higher price. IT MAKES NO FUCKIN SENSE! Keep ownership so you can export to support the country. How the fuck you have a Chinatown in Ghana??? Are you serious? The Lebanese got a lock on Ghana too. Wtf??
are u bush meat lmao
