Considering Finland produces some of my fav melodic metal /death metal bands...was hoping this guitar would show some of that. but guess it is another jazz/clean/classic rock type of demo...Good playing though, but not a metal guitar obviously.
@SaintsCheat Hey man, thanks for watching. Yeah, I would say that Flaxwood is primarily not a "metal" guitar, even though their "Äijä" model can produce some pretty aggressive tones!
Devin Townsends rhythm player Dave Young uses Flaxwood for example!
As does "No Scope" guitarist, Bobby Ensminger.
Also, search youtube for "JImmy lardner brown flaxwood" for soem serious shredding
@gitarrmicke73 No because it is not just played by metal guitarists like Yngwie Malmsteen and Dave Murray (iron maiden) but also many classic rock/blues players use Fender Strats. A Jackson kelly, flying v, are obviously metal guitars, as with bc rich's. Even if you switched out pickups on these guitars and played in a country band, you would look ridiculous. A nylon string guitar is obviously a classical guitar. Does that answer your sarcastic question?
You sure do man! I'm glad you spotted that! King's X has been a fave band of mine since I first started playing (Especially the King's X and the Dogman albums =)
Well, when I started out laying ther was no internet and tabbooks were few and expensive, and finding one with King's X in Sweden (no internet orders hehe) was next t impossible. So I hd to do it the hard way. I transcribed alot of King's X and Extreme stuff back in my teens, excellent ear-training, and epecially for building a sense of rhythm and timing.
Tror jag betalade typ 2000 för min, de är ganska billiga DG-60 när man väl hittar en. HIttade min på musikbörsens begat-sidor. Kör bara guran rakt in i stärken, med lite reverb på.
Cool man :) I changed them on this one, but my signature model (being finished this month) will have Duncans (as I've always disliked DM's). THere will be clips with me on Flaxwood website as well in the near future (both clips like this one, but also from various clinics, and with my own model as soon as I've recorded with it). stay tuned!
Would you say that this Bill Lawrence Pickup combo is good for allround playing....

Kör du bara gitarren rakt in i stärkaren i detta klippet? Inga andra effekter?
Tack, och ha det gött!

måste säga att det här lät riktigt jävla bra! asschysst riff, skitsmutt spelat och fett ljud.
En låt med det riffet skulle inte vara helt fel, som nån annan kommenterade!

Man, if you haven't done it already you have to make a song out of that riff! One of the coolest I've heard! Keep up the good work!
