thank you very much for your strength....it definitely is the hardest thing to through. i have been cleared with my four years survivorship and life definitely has changed....survivorship isn't an easy thing.
You are truly a beautiful woman -- inside and out!! I wept at your courage to show something so personal and painful so that other women can find their courage!! My mother is dying of cancer. I am so amazed at the courage it took to do this as a proactive and pre-emptive measure.
May God bless you with a long life, joy and all th love you deserve! Your husband is one lucky man to have such a courageous and strong mate!1
i clicked with a perverted mind but seeing your video made me realize how courageous you are. don't give up and live your life as how you want, stay strong and take care girl!
couple months ago i have found a hard lump inside my breast me and my husband can still feel it.. but i have not gone to doctor for check up because i cannot afford. i work so hard to waste money.. all i think its nothing to worry.. and that i shouldnt go.. i feel as, its nothing serious..i know its not.. but i want to know how was your experience when you first went to doctor... did your lump hurt to the touch? did you have discharge? was it hard or soft? what was your reaction?
@DyLaBug hard lumps are never a good thing... try wasting money at a doctor's honey or all that money you waste everywhere else will leave your husband a widow...and if you have kids, half orphan.
@cnith2 i suppose you are right.. my moms sister have breast cancer it was all cut off, she use to complain how much hair she lost before her cancer... and now i am having the same complain.. i am so scared for god sake..
@DyLaBug Depending on where you live, there are many, many organizations out there that help women get mammograms, breast exams, ultrasounds, and treatment for free or for reduced costs. Any health concern is worth seeing a doctor for, and the majority of women that die from breast cancer die because they wait too long for help. Breast cancer is very treatable and survivable if you do the right thing for yourself. Only you can save your life. Get the lump checked. Period.
thank you for sharing. I'm a few weeks away from getting my double mastectomy and I'm pretty terrified. Keeping my spirits up when I'm with my family, friends and coworkers but I've got knots in my stomach and cry at night and in the car. I'm only 41 with no family history so I'm the first in my circle of friends. The unknown has been really scary. And the wait is just as bad.
wow you are so courageous and strong. I am sorry you went through this. A lot of people complain about simple things, but many don't know that their life could be worse. I pray that God blesses you with continous strength and positivity. I wish you the best !
wow courage strength and god. courage love for life and god blessing you and prayers for you. happiness and tears and god giving you strength and love instead of preventing you from having cancer in the 1st place.
thanks for sharing, done my mastectomy due to a cancer last friday and yesterday got home. they inserted expander to have shape and for the future reconstruction, its painful now.
Thank you for sharing your story. Next month, I will be going through the same thing. I'm a mother of a 16 month old baby, and I have to be strong. If I have to remove my breasts in order to live, so let it be.
god bless you and we will keep u in our prayers my girlfriend in currently going through chemotherapy no im going to show her this vid god bless you and may u stay cancer free ..chad .c
But I may one day be in your place and I really wouldn't be able to survive. You have taught me a lot, and I will take that throughout my whole life. Thank you so much.
This actually made me cry... But you know what... She is a beautiful young lady, a mom, a daughter, and a wife, but most importantly she is very brave and I love that!! You know what she has went through a lot to still be alive for her family and friends and she doesn't need breasts to survive I am a 15 year old girl, but I have witnessed my mom die of breast cancer, and also my grandma, and that was one of the worst things that has happened. I hope not, because I know I am not as brave as you
thanks for sharing this video; few days ago I discovered to have a breast cancer, tomorrow I will meet the surgeon to fix my operation, I'm afraid, but I have to face it, I need courage like you.
my mom just had her breast surgery a couple of weeks ago i told her mom its for your own good she agreed the whole family was sad when she gave us the news i cried for days thank god everything came out ok now shes doing fine and feels good sometimes she feels down but she knows the surgery was for her own good...you are a strong person for putting this up
I wish more women had as much courage as you did to have that surgery. My mom had a scare a few years back and my whole world changed. Thank you for your video.
This is beautiful......I am a breast cancer survivor and I think you are so brave and wise to do this surgery.....I wish you a long and beautiful life <3

So many beautiful young women getting breast cancer.
All these barely middle aged men getting testicular and prostate cancer.

I wish you all the best as I do all women stricken with this horrible ailment that is so life changing. I can only imagine the withdrawal you went thru, but I know what it is like somewhat. You are AWESOME girl.
god bless , stay strong and good luck. i worry about my wife too, because her family has had so many bouts with cancer. i could not live with out her.
I am about to have a Mastectomy on August 16 2011. I want to THANK YOU for sharing your stories. It helped me out alot with my fears and going forward with this life changing transition. Thank You! God Bless : )
@MegaDanie88 Well it depends how you take it. I would dislike the cancer (and other horrible-) part(s). But for her courage I would like the video. Some people choose the wrong one :S
I had my right breast removed on July 20, 2011. I'm opting for reconstruction, and the tissue expander is in place. The wound from my surgery is horrific to look at, but I keep reminding myself that it will look better once all the healing takes place. The drains are annoying, but I consider myself fortunate that I have medical insurance to cover the cost of all the procedures. Much love and hope to any woman undergoing this ordeal. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us.
I am doing the same. I am not going to have any type of implant or shape. My breast are gone as is the incredible stress of my cancer concern. In 9 months a few tiny lumps became over 40, 2 from the size of a quarter to the size of 1/2 a tenis ball. Removing both breasts remove 90 plus % of cancer concern & you can't buy that level of peace. Geri C

Your husband motivates me.

Hats Off to you.....brave lady....wish you to lead a healthy life...my elder sister's right breast is removed 18 days ago and I know how she needs our support to live with one breast.....
@joejacques1 Good luck!!.. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My mum had hers done in Jan 2011 and she's getting radiation rite now. You will be fine. Best of luck!!
beautiful story and music. gave me a sense of peace after having a single mastectomy. keeping you in prayer and praising your courage to share your story.
it was good to know ur story. U r indeed an inspiration.
I had seen a surgery of beast removal but the surgeon used the muscle of the back (latismus dorsi muscle) to replace the cancerous breast tissue and the scar was just a inch hidden in areolar border. excised breast looked even more beautiful than the untouched one. so this could be ur option to reduce the cost for beast expander and less scar.
good luck and have more willpower to win the battle
@TheMaxson You are not alone. My Mom had her surgery in Jan and is getting radiation rite now. It's somewhat comforting to know that we are not alone. God bless!xo
You have inspired me to get my reconstruction after being diagnosed with breast cancer Aug.,2009. I had 6 rounds of chemo, and last June 2010 my ovaries were removed. This Dec, I got my reconstruction, and am currently at 320 cc. Still have to go like 100 cc more. I feel great, my panic of getting cancer again is gone.
