  • @dhebert111 Good Luck with your case.

  • I notice you have some clown named lone wolf if you go to this losers site he is a religious fanatic,in all my years as a construction tradesmen I always notice the ones that always tried to rip you off or screw you around were always religious. They are filled with hate for their fellow man they must be deathly afraid of whats on the other side they should be .In order to fix wcb you have to get rid of the privative clause I have a petition to do this with a link to my site, sign it

  • That is the point - it is a business and they make a profit and pay HUGE Bonuses to these Case Managers. We should be able to sue companies that we work for when we are hurt and it is their fault! I am still going after WCB - just a matter of time. I have to focus on my health - Spinal Surgery and getting back to work after rehab. After that - I am going to BE LOUD and DEMAND change!

  • @MyWittsend3 All the best to you with your struggle. I hope you get back to being healthy. Thank you for sharing your experience.

  • Private insurance might cost and be a challenge to most ... however - here in Manitoba due to a work related injury - NO doctor will help me! I am left with going to Rochester Mayo Clinic at a tune of $50,000 US to fix my Spinal Injury which was caused by a work related injury that WCB would not cover ... and has made me fight for 8 years this July! To me - private insurance in Canada would give me access here instead of trying to get to the US. Look at all the Manitoban's that go over seas!

  • @MyWittsend3 Private for profit insurance would have fought just as hard to keep from paying out, remember, WCB is an employer insurance, not an employee. The idea behind WCB is to cover injured workers so they do not start a lawsuit against the employer. The problem is that WCB here in Alberta (and it sounds like it works similar in Manitoba) is being run 'For Profit'. The Government is taking the money and running off with it.

  • @darktoadthesticky True, but it is impossible to find a lawyer that will go against the WCB. Discuss your case with a lawyer, and they are very interested and supportive until they discover the "insurance" company in question is the WCB. Then their attitude changes, and they inform you that their company does not handle WCB cases. You can easily force a private insurer to follow the promises they made to you in court, whereas you can't even get the WCB into court.

  • Is a system that is run by the government. It takes government to change it - so how will that ever happen? NOT ... we need a private company - more than one for competition on Insurance Options. WCB needs to be SHUT DOWN. It isn't working and it is Bias. Try taking complaints against WCB to your politicians - they won't even return your calls ... WHY - it is run by the goverment. I am for SHUTTING it down and offering a private business option. However, insurance is what it is-a fight ot have!

  • @MyWittsend3 I will have to disagree on privately controlled WCB, that would be just as disastrous as private health insurance.

As for it takes the government to change the government, I agree that will not work. The people need to change WCB, and we do that by educating the public so they will demand change from the government.

    Thank you for your comment.

  • @darktoadthesticky it needs to be changed! Educating people is NOT going to help if you CAN NOT get people to rally and pickett for change .... YOU need alot of people to change a government and even to make the government listen! Dr in Manitoba are mostly paid by insurance ... WCB consultants .. .so how does that make sense! Totally Bias Opinions! Conflict of interest!

  • They will have to increase security - WCB employees get HIGH (danger)paying jobs to FUCK people over that are seriously injured! It works likes this I believe ... 1, No 2 No 3 No ... and if you are number 10 YES you get benefits. THERE should be NO WCB! They are useless!

  • @MyWittsend3 In Alberta WCB helps 95% of people who are injured on the job. That is hundreds of thousands of people who do not have to sue their employer for benefits after an injury. Don't get me wrong, the system has a very serious crack in it that needs to be fixed, but to throw out the whole system would be far worse. The system can be fixed, we just need to educated the voters.

  • people are really fed up and are talking about revenge, patrick clayton in alberta has made everyone think of him as a hero, but many have stated he should have finished the job. i honestly think we will be seeing workers comp employees and maybe even their families and doctors being subjected to revenge for their crimes against injured /disabled work / auto accident victims although i don't agree with violence against anyone, it is easy to see why this may happen as goverment doesn't care..

  • Just look what the Jews did to NY WCB ! Change will come by force !

  • @fixmyhvac Racism is so easy to hide ones fears in. If there are problems with the NY WCB, please share them without the "Jew" comment?

  • we should kill more workers

  • @cobragt66 How are you planing to do it?

  • How long have I paid premiums to the WCB for people to get paid vacation...that is the question.

  • @Donlakyounomoah Would you rather they sue you for your negligence? I love employers who operate an unsafe workplace and then cry boo hoo when someone is injured.

But if you can save a $1000 by putting off repairing that damaged equipment, what do you care if someone could be hurt or worse.

  • @Donlakyounomoah WCB workers got caught in 06' for taking bribes to cut injured workers off,it was on the fromt page of Edmonton son 5 days straight! They are total assholes! And as to employers, every time I got hurt on the job these sick bastards made up all kinds of lies to try and get out of their responsibilites,I had to prove them to be lies and did every time so quit your fucken whining because of your poor safety record!

  • @lonewolf1264 - I looked at your channel - you hate women and WCB and employers - really? Everybody is wrong but you....you say "every time I got hurt on the job" Just how many accidents have you had exactly? You are a walking nightmare for all employers and WCB and I think women too.

  • @Donlakyounomoah if you don't like my chanel stay off it and ya can quit your storytelling on here jerk!

  • @lonewolf1264 Bwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • The only corruption is the corrupt clients - there should be more surveillance video done and then it should be put on YouTube for all to see who is really corrupt.

  • @Donlakyounomoah Thank you, and how long have you worked for WCB?

  • You are a great guy for posting this. Best to you in life, thanks

  • @ventureelect Thanks. WCB needs some light in it's dark corners.

  • Very good. I am glad you said that people didn't like getting DELIBERATELY screwed over because that is exactly what it is. Fraudulent investigations, ignoring medical evidence, circumventing appeal decisions and keeping you in the process while driving you into poverty (see my file). I offered my file to a criminologist to investigate WCB crimes and have not heard back. Being destroyed in our own country by private for profit organizations. What choice do we have??

  • Great Comment

  • Worst part is that the Stelmach Government promotes this criminal activity, by doing nothing and legislating more power to the WCB, yet Stelmach is not as bad for this as King Ralph Klein, where his Solicitor General , Justice Minister and Labour Minister, all refused to act on criminal allegations that were put forward on the legislature floor by Mr. Bonner. Instead of forwarding the complaints to the police, they wrote a letter to WCB asking for explanation; Corruption at its finest.

  • So true.

  • I must disagree pertaining to the "Recession" as a cause in this matter, many injured workers have been dealing with the same situation recession or not; it is a well known practice of the WCB's to give you what your entitled too then find a way of removing it from you, putting an injured worker into the appeals process where the out come is determined before you get into the hearing, I have notification from supervisors stating the out come 3 months before the hearing takes place.

  • Great comment. Thanks.

  • A south australian injured worker was forced to sell his home by workcover. They cut off his wages and then prosecuted him claiming he was a fraud.

The whole case was thrown out on appeal by the Full Court claiming the prosecution was oppressive.

Seems this happens throughout the world..workcover are the power and injured workers are nothing but outcasts.

  • It is very sad to see a useful program fall because of the corruption of governments.

  • you gets what you pays into. lost? hell i had everything stolen .thieves in suits, before hey get these cushy positions they should be forced to do what their victims did for a living.lets say mandatory two years hard labor no exceptions no MALINGERING then maybe just maybe but first PSYCHO-ANALYSIS compcamp 76

  • Actually, that is a very good idea. Not just before they get the job, each and every year they should have to work 30 days in a different industry, entry level position. That should be true of Executive Positions.

  • Your premier is hated MORE than WCB?? I never knew Hitler and Satan had a baby. Seriously though, I notice WCB likes to throw around that "5% denied" speach. Most WCB claims are less than a week. What I would like to know is what percentage of LONG TERM claims are denied perferably broken down for example 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, and longer. I believe THOSE numbers would be scary. Mine has been going on for 4 years (presently getting $9000 a year). When faced with losing everything .........

  • Yes, it sounds so small. But it is thousands of claims a year, all long term. It would be good to find out the percent of long term claims are rejected.

Sorry to hear about your predicament.

  • well coaldog1 I can relate 100%, been over 10 years for me and I get $600.00 per month with a decrease coming up in July this year down too $120.00 per month. this is what their "deeming" of employment does to the injured worker, which BTW is against United Nations Human Rights, as defined in the "Slavery clause", so I am doing good as a former electrician/ welder/ carpenter.

  • What jail is this man being held in?

  • Patrick Charles Clayton is currently undergoing an assessment of his mental health at a location that has not been released. He as of yet not gotten a lawyer.

  • On the news clip i watched they had a voice clip of him saying he wanted peoples support. I don't know how the people can do this considering we don't know where he is but Im sure we all have our horror stories. Thank you so much for responding to my question much appreciated.

  • There is a large group that have had problems or know people with problems with WCB. So he has the support of those people with the problem. Most people in that group understand his frustration but do not support the actions he took.

Any questions I can help with, I would be happy to.

  • I think Special Ed is on his way out, this was the last straw, if he can't see past the crime and determine the reason for it, he is completely stupid.

  • He looks so weak every time he makes a speech. He just isn't the man for the job.

  • that's some intense stuff.

  • Yes, it is a powder keg.

  • Looks like trouble. What is WCB?

  • WCB or Workers Compensation Board is an insurance program that employers pay into to protect them from being sued when a worker is injured on the job. In Alberta, it is a no fault insurance, which means that if you are hurt on the job, you get the insurance no matter who is at fault. 5% (Thousands) of claims are refused by WCB. Some of those are fraud cases, but most are just long term claims that WCB does not want to pay.
